This is my Patrol Rifle for work (KCMO PD). It's an LWRC International M6A2. Short stroke gas-piston 5.56mm. Aimpoint CompML3 with a LaRue Tactical M68 QD mount with Troy Ind folding BUIS front and rear. CAA grip pod with a Streamlight TLR-1 LED w/ pressure switch attacted to my forward grip. I've had it since 2009, I love this thing. Since we have to buy our own rifles for work... I went all out.

It's zeroed for 50/200 yds. It's no sniper rifle but just with the 1x magnification Aimpoint i've hit a 20oz coke bottle cap at 50yds out. That's about as far as i'd prolly ever let rounds fly through the city lol.

I use them in my builds a lot. My personal weapon is Wilson Combat. I even went as far as trying to secure the rights to make/machine their lowers after they stopped producing them and pay them a royalty.

personally, i would go with an AR-15 (ArmaLite Model-15 Rifle)
