That's awesome I love the blue rims! I just figure I mentioned the exhaust thing just something to keep in mind. Keep up the great work.
 
[up] an exhaust is still a ways away for me, it will be the last piece to go on. I wish I could hear a keda exhaust and an fmf in person to compare instead of just YouTube. But unless I get a good tax return ill go with keda design, but if I do the ebr full race exhaust sounds nasty and makes good power
 
Just got a couple little goodies in from EBR!
De-noid resistor and airbox decals for when i get a white airbox cover.

The resistor plug is pretty small about the size of the top half of your thumb and plugs right into the wiring harness where the solenoid plugs in.

Removal is simple, take off the airbox cover then the airbox. Unplug solenoid from wiring harness, unscrew solenoid from mount (2 4mm Allen screws) and take cable out (10mm wrench) and snip the zip tie then put everything back together.

also i put a small zip tie to keep the resistor plug from going somewhere its not supposed to be for safe measure. Well ill see if I can feel a difference tomorrow on my way to work, and to that goodnight all.
 
Ooh yeah right away I feel the difference in the throttle it moves easier and is much more responsive, I like it allot it really woke her up!
 
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! and figured id update, since its been a while. Nothing new for her yet, its starting to get more frequently cold for me to ride and its been rainy the last couple days so ive driven the ex around for a bit. Ordered new grips, uly ac adapter power plug and new front pads. Waiting on artic white flyscreen and 2010 CR pod decals. Im about 450 miles away from the big 10,000 mile mark so ill probably be thinking about the 12500 mile service in the next month or two. No issues with her in the cold, other than when its about 40degrees or colder when i start up about 5 minutes into running the cel and fuel light will come on for about a minute and then go off. No issues running and only happens on first start of the day when its below 40 degrees out. Did finally part ways with my first set of Michelin Power Pures, they had a total of about 7,500~ miles on them and were worn in the middle from me mostly commuting the last couple months. Im currently using the stock Pirelli Corsa 3 tires that came with the set of rims i purchased and i will say they suck. Warm up takes allot longer than the Power Pures cornering is decent when warmed up but i dont feel as confident with these as i do with the Pures on a road i can usually take a set of corners at 70-75 with the Pures, i wouldnt push it past 65 on the Corsa 3s. I will be going back to the Pures after winter. Well that it for now.
 
Ok figured out what the cel&low fuel light coming on means. Because as i left my girlfriends house last night (temp was 39 degrees) after about 4minutes the cel and low fuel light came on and the lcd monitor read lowfuel system error. Has anyone had this issue and what does it mean? The cel and low fuel light were on for about 3 miles and i had no issues with the engine. Im thinking its something with the low fuel meter or worse case its telling me the pump is about to go. But again it only happens when the temp is below 40 degrees and only for about 2-3 min and no running issues with the bike. I have never ran out of fuel and I have 9,600 miles on her with a k&n filter and denoided, no other mods to the motor. Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Ill be scheduling the 12,500 mile service sometime in January so if its nothing major ill have them deal with it then.
 
Narrowed it down to DTC:B1005 which is Fuell level sender high/open. Which from the electronics diagnostic manual it could either be a short or open circuit from the fuel sender to the instrument cluster OR the whole fuel pump assembly will need replacement (~$270 from ASB +labor) or a new instrument cluster (~225 from LSHD1)
 
Just scheduled my 12,500 mile service for January 8th 2012 and I'll self diagnose the fuel light issue when I'm back from work, I'm thinking it's either the wire or pump assembly but I'll keep anyone reading posted.
 
Little updates:
I think my CEL is something within the fuel pump but i am not sure and will need a second opinion before i go and replace that. But today i went on a short 30ish mile ride and had no CEL come on so maybe disconnecting the plugs and reconnecting them did something (but i doubt it). Other than i cant trust my low fuel light anymore she is running like a beaut. I also got the Auxiliary "Car" charger plugged in and ready to use, and put in new front brake pads. Next week i will be getting the front fender and 2010 CR rad decals in as well as a set of Rizoma grips. Shes creeping up slowly on the 10k mark and will probably be there in a week or two depending if it rains this week or not. Well thats all for now i took some video the other day and today as well and might upload a video or two. Ooh and one last thing, I still have the Kick Ash tank cover for sale!!! heres the link Kick Ash

In unrelated news I got my replacement touch screen for my Pioneer Z1 head unit cuz i cracked it a couple weeks ago, took about 30 min to install at work.

i miss my xb9 and i might pick another xb up in the future, i really wish i didnt sell her. Also wish it would stop raining :/
 
yeah i know i would regret letting my bike go but i stuck it on CL for kicks just to see what happens.. Yeah the rain blows but my bike is scattered throughout the garage anyway lol
 
I did that at one time with my xb and had some guy offer me his "sick" Honda civic to me lol but I would still have her if I didnt wreck.
 
tranny issues right now, so she'll get a complete overhaul it looks like, I'm probably going to put a 12 throttle body and 12 headers on her
