New to bikes...buying a 2003 Blast. Anything to look for?

SO ABOUT THE BIKE! $180 later i have it out of IMPOUND! Rides fantastic however it's not idling as sweet as it did this morning. When I turn it on it takes a little while for to kick on and turn over. And while it's idling I can feel the bike's engine kicking a little. Could be bad gas? Low on fuel? Bad spark? Dirty Carb? And when I leaned the bike over on it's kick stand it actually shut off.

Get new gas, new plug, then run some seafoam through it. Then we'll trouble shoot after all that's done.

Sorry to be such a newb but how do I run the Seafoam through the bike?

Run seafoam through the gas. Just put it in per instructions on the can.

Changed the oil. Havent run the seafoam or put in a new plug yet.

Bike idles rough (sounds like it wants to die) and without giving it gas it dies after 30 seconds or so of idling.

New plug is in mail.

After it's warmed up idles fine and drives great.

Congrats on the purchase[up],sounds like the bike just needs some lovin. Change out the fluids and do the tune up and it'll be all good. Welcome

My 03 had the gas tank air line pinched by the oil drain line. Pull the air line off the nozzle by the gas cap and blow through it. If it's pinched like mine was pull off the left side passenger peg mount. That's where it'll be pinched.

Congrats on the bike! $1500 sounds like a good price for the year and mileage. I had one before got my Xb, they are fun little bikes so have fun with it, if you're looking to get more out of the bike the best thing you can do for it is get an exhaust and jet kit.
