actually when they 1st came out they had the 5.4 I think then late availability the 6.2L came avail it may be the only engine available now but it wasn't when 1st released

Your correct. The 6.2 was an option last year and became standard for 2012. My local dealer had a bunch of 5.4s in stock because everyone was wanting and waiting for the 6.2.
 
Nice ride. I had a 2010. Keep an eye on the suspension, I developed some issue's ford did not want to warranty. Besides that they are awesome trucks. I miss mine.

I'm surprised the ranger didn't survive that. I still haven't killed mine. I'm holding out about 5 more years so I can find a used raptor for under 20 grand

Had my Ranger treated me the same I would probably still have it. I bought it new in 05, it was well maintained and not abused. At 70 thousand it burnt its valves, requiring new heads. Little thing after that just left me questioning its reliability.
 
The guys breaking/bending frames are getting carried away and going beyond the trucks capabilities. You can break stuff on a trophy truck if you go fast enough.

They Fly so dam well Seriously. My and extreme low watched a couple at silver lake last year dam they land so soft .

Really anti ford but that is a sweet ass Truck enjoy.
Really jealous of those fox shocks...;)
 
That's crazy, my dads '04 ranger edge is NOT well maintained and it's whooped daily. Despite all of this, it steadfastly refuses to break.

Nothing has ever broken on that truck.


I'm sorry yours wasn't as reliable.
 
I was told by the tech who fixed it the issue was the 3.0 motor. He told me 80 year old ladies in there Tauruses where having the same problems.

Actually it was the Action Movie app on my Me-phone. I took the video, the paused it in certain spots and took screen shots. I have zero computer skills so no photoshop for me.

sure ya do, you used that 'smart phone' to do the pic up and they are far faster, more complicated and powerful then home PC's of less then 10 years ago..
