It has a street title. That was a deciding factor in getting the bike. It's been sitting for 10 years or so I'm guessing. Got it started and running. Going to use it so the Buell gets less miles.

Got a few things done today. Forks work, and got the ASV levers yesterday!!!!! Time to check spring rates.

sick ktm man. I just got the street tires on my 450 (avon) yesterday. I am getting my inspection done this week!

I know when I had my CRF450R, I was on crfsonly.com and they have a supermoto section that is in great detail on this subject.

Just did a leakdown test, and one of my intake valves is leaking. Time to adjust the valves. If thats not the problem, time to pull the head.

Adjusted the valves, and she's all good. I dont think they have ever been adjusted. Coming apart for paint. [cool]

Just found a fella in CA with 2 of these bikes, and a bunch of other Suzuki enduro parts. I think I'm getting a complete 98 dr650 rear suspension to replace the steel girder of a swing arm. I should only need to fabricate the upper shock mount. The motor weighs 88lbs, and the rear suspension with the wheel, brake, swing arm, shock, and associated linkage weighs just under 50lbs. The new set up will have a newer rebuildable shock. I'm guessing it will save 6-8 lbs. Still aiming for that 270# mark.

Just found out that there is a US brand making supermotos, called Highland

http://www.highland.se/
(though IDK why they have a .se website, that's for Sweden)

They also built their own single cylinder and v-twin motors, that are looking to sell to other manufacturers.
Anyone know anything about them?

I'm going to send them an email for some power specs and pricing. Nuthin' better than havin' a v twin sittin' around to put in sumthin'!:D
