Imo, you can't go wrong with michelin tires. I have run multiple sets of both, pilot powers, pilot power 2ct's and power pures.
For me the best all around tire I have used has been on 2ct's. They grip, and seem to last well compared to some other dual compound tires from other brands.
If you talk to most any guy at a shop who regularly installs tires, you will most likely always hear them rave about how nicely michelin tires mount up, and how they rarely need much balancing.
My 1125 I just picked up currently has Bridgestone Battlax BT-016's on it. I have only ran a few sets of these on the k1200r, never on a buell but I can say that they are not all that bad, they have a pretty good drop in, and grip pretty well. However, I will run them til they are done, then go back to pures of pilots. I think some will agree with me, once you start regularly using michelin tires, its hard to go back to something different.
Just my 2cents!
