Finally got working on my bike this weekend. Got a lot done. I got the wheels off and stripped, calipers stripped, etc. Took the wheels, calipers(rear is the hidden brembo), license plate bracket(slightly custom), and pulley to the powder coater today. The powder coated said coating the teeth on the pulley will have no negative effect, and contrary to my better judgement and what others have said, I'm trusting him as he is REALLY good and has done a lot of this stuff. I did notice the pulley was already coated, so he's probably right.

I should have it back together in a month or so. The bike really fought me the whole way getting it apart, I had a lot of hiccups. Getting the rear axle loose proved near impossible, then same with the rear rotor bolts, then again with the wheel bearings, then again with the tires. I got it all done though.

Everything is getting done satin black. I had the front master cylinder, clutch perch, and some other misc parts like that done about a year ago(earlier in this thread) in the same satin black color.

Got some more powder done!

I did that option 1 airbox mod and de-snorkel.. I ran it with my race ecm and it spat and popped for a day or so then it seemed to clear-up... think Ill be ok with my race ecm? Ive heard that you are supposed to de-snorkel and let some more air in if you got a race ecm.. am I right?

Well the tuning needs to match the airflow in/out of the engine. Hard to say, I'm not a professional tuner or anything, just know a little bit...

you cant program a race ecm, the kit said to de-snorkel it but I went ahead and drilled out the inner cover too. I guess I just kinda love it or leave it as far as the race ecm goes..

wheels look great, I'd like to get mine done like that too

It's pretty reasonably priced. He charged me $250 for the wheels, both calipers(4 pieces), the rear caliper bracket, the drive pulley, and the license plate bracket.

Did that include sand blast/prep?

Also, this guy is very good and reputable, not a cheap garage done place. He masks everything off real nice. Although he forgot to mask off for the bearings in the front wheel, but I can dremel that powder off. I found this shop through my father in law, his company uses them for their work sometimes.

Here's where she stands:

Just waiting on a few more parts to come in and I'll wrap it up.

Yep!

Just gotta figure out if my new belt is right. It's CRAZY tight. It's almost difficult to turn the rear wheel in N, it doesn't "free wheel". Maybe that's normal though, drag from the trans?

I heard the new belt is SUPER tight, my new one will be here shortly (hopefully this week) so I can tell ya if it's the same

The one I got is part number G0500.1AAH goodyear, ordered on ASB. CRAZY TIGHT is an understatement lol. I almost gave up on getting it on there.

When you change yours next week, and you have the tire off he ground, can you see how the tire rotates in N? I didn't pay attention before, but now with the new belt and everything it doesn't free spin at all. It will turn with mild pressure from my hand but then stops fast.
