Brushes with the law; most of us have had more than our share of times on motorcycles. Anything crazy happen? jail time? cop just stop to admire? tazed? Be truthful too
1. Dec. 20, 2009 - Myself and 7 other bikes got stopped twice in one day. The first cause we were traveling as a group at about 140 (nearly no traffic) and the cop followed us for 5 miles before he made his stop. I didnt see him stop the back 4 guys so I kept going not knowing what happened to the others till I got to a gas station. The second time that day, was by TxDPS who wrote us all tickets for passing a stationary emergency vehicle at 70+ mph. A trooper caused 2 bikes to lock it up and run into each other. I went to court for that one, and even with dashcams and troopers present, I won. The video proved I didnt break a law.
Beginning of the month -
A cop pulled in front of myself and the other riders and continued towards the front of the group and stopped them but since he pulled in front of me I parked across the street. The stop was initiated cause a trooper received a call that there were speeding bikes on the backroads and relayed to local LEO's. No tickets or warnings were issued but three riders with warrants went to jail.
So far in 2010 I have been stopped 3 times with no tickets or warnings....knock on wood.
Oh and I fully respect Law Enforcement and never talk bad about them cause I know when I break a law. Also, I would never run on purpose.
