Yeah the stock exhaust is pretty good. The muffler and y pipe are the only restrictive points (other than manifolds of course).

There are a few 2/4 kits I think belltech makes one. There's also 2" rear kits they are cheap.

Most people who remove the resonators say it drones really bad during MDS activation. They really don't hurt power anyway.

I almost removed mine but was advised not to by my Best freind......lol.

Back Story......

A Repo driver pulled a gun on me in DFW one night because I didnt get out of his way fast enough.......well that didnt fly in my book so a chase ensued. My buddy was behind me when this all took place, and crazy enough we were just talking about the resos at dinner. When he saw me take off after the guy he noticed a cop in the gas station parking lot right next to us.....he decided to play blocker for me for just a few sec by blocking the exit at the service station while sitting at the red light (cop never turned on lights.....possably didnt even see the incedent either). POint is My bro said he heard me floor it almost 1/4 mile away when we entered the freeway. He said it was the loudest & throatiest sound he had ever heard from a truck.
Resos stayed on......lol.

If you want to truly hear your truck as others do just let a freing drive it as you would and follow from behind. Mine is factory quiet in the cab once up to freeway speeds and that was why I considered removal of them, but once my bro told me what he did.....I didnt beleave him. I let him drive and I followed.............I just about messed my pants when I heard my truck from another motorist prespective. I can only imagine what it will sound like once I get my long tube headers and tuner.....if they ever make one.

Very true freak, every once in a while my wife drives it, it sounds good when it leaves the house. She's probaly romping on it non stop. I just read a couple reviews about the SB CAI looks like a good product and only $299. Im so torn what to do. Just a drop in filter or a CAI choices!!!

Yeah even my truck with 100% stock exhaust is really loud. It's amazing how the tune changed the sound of the exhaust. Then I got an aftermarket converter and it seems louder. I know that doesn't make sense lol. I bought a 14" muffler and a y pipe and it will probably be too loud for me, if it is I'll probably take it of and get like a 24" muffler.

ARH makes long tubes for the hemi ram they are crazy expensive though. That truck I posted above the guy runs jeep long tubes, they fit with VERY MINIMAL persuasion. Had to dimple one primary is all IIRC. Basically they fit perfect, and are much much cheaper.

Oh and just FYI there is one tuning option, B&G. You send them your pcm or a spare and they program it then send it back. That's what that guy above with the white express in the video did. Then he swaps to the stock pcm for dealer visits(don't want them over writing your tuning during updates). He also now has a 6.4 hemi cam in his truck.

Yeah, Im not ready to go that deep into my truck yet, just want some basic bolt on's that may help MPG, HP and sound

S&B is good just has the same problem as stock, it draws air from the fender which draws air from a ~1" hole.

If you look just to the right of your passenger headlight(through the grill) you can see a triangular shaped hole in the plastic, that's where the intake draws air from.

damn it, I guess I have something to do to keep me busy for awhile. CAI research!

You found me a cheap belt yet???? lol jk

volant makes one that you can buy another tube that goes under the bumper. I think it's pricey though. This is another reason I like the vararam for the hemi. Price isn't had either, and it looks good. I really don't think the weight of it sitting on the TB is any issue, it is a sheet of plastic and a filter, hardly any weight.

He dosent happen to be a member of DodgeTalk does he? Thats where I saw that exact same set up. I also planned to do the JeepSRT8 headers.......Unless someone comes out tith a good Shorty. Internally im staying stock....motor wise anyways.

Im so torn what to do.

Drop in.....just as good and a fraction the cost.

Tuner, slam it, lighter wheels & tires, drive it like a Granny.

snrusnak- did you have a 9 or a 12. what do you consider a reasonable price? All I have seen on there are used belts.

Freak- your probaly right, more than likely will go with a drop in for the time being until they make a programmer. I dont drive like Granny and will never be able to!

They are not the factory srt8 jeep manifolds, they are aftermarket long tubes for a jeep. Don't remember which ones but I can find out, he lives about 5 minutes from me. His name is Josh, I know he's on some forums but don't know which ones. The only one I'm active in is ramforumz and he's not on there. I'm also on dodgeforum but barely, not active there.

Well, If I come across one in my many excursions through Ebay, I will let you know. Its not like I have much to do for the next 2 weeks.
