nice pick-up jesse. this guy cracks me up. posts up 19 page-long threads on fabricating custom key fobs from scratch....spends 4 days custom machining brackets to mount a sportster VR to a buell XB.....who can forget his month-long front mount isolator CAD renderings he flooded the board with....and can't install his gas cap correctly. LOL

Wow, I did not know this. I hope they improved this to prevent rubber inserts shearing.

TPEHAK, so yours didn't last then? I hear that is a problem with the first prototypes on that one as well but maybe they have worked it out if they have them for sale now.

According the picture the bearings do not have any seal, does this mean dust and water will freely go inside the bearings?

One must pack with thick grease, they dont do all lot of turning any, probably just back and forth 50degrees left and 50 degrees to the right. Dust on a sport bike ?? LOL

Well, not exactly, the ully can go off road with proper tires, I've heard where some have even done it with a 70/30 tire on an SS. I don't know how much dust gets up in there anyway and your correct, they don't rotate very much or very fast.

Bought it! 2008 XB12S. Now to figure out this ddfi-3 tuning ordeal, seems that it's not as easy as my buddys 03 was to reflash. Also going with some general cable adjusting, fluid changing TLC tonight.

What I did for my Buell today was try to install the wrong brake pads :) Lesson learned never believe eBay seller's year and model listing for Buell items, go straight to the parts catalog and Harley distribution... in other words see Lance. I don't know if I'm getting HH sintered brake pads now but at least I know the OEM ones from NewCastle will fit.

Became pretty obvious when the rotor was thicker than the gap between the pads LOL :stupid:
If these fit any other Buell's let me know otherwise its to the scrap pile with all my other knee jerk orders.
