Very nice !!! .... I only looked at this page and it looks amazing!! ... I'm thinking about stealing that trans vent setup too btw !!

^ thanks. The trans vent was real easy. It's just a piece of 3/8" steel fuel line. A few simple bends with a fuel line bender ( 12 bucks at auto store) and a little filter also from auto parts store. I welded on a little bracket to the tube, and attached it to the two little studs sticking off the starter.

All this stuff is still just raw. Needs clean up and powder coat.

Nice!

I hate to give criticism because your work is amazing and way over my head. But, I feel criticism can be good. I think you should consider doing a little more work on the line where the "tank" or airbox cover meets the seat. The line doesn't quite flow. I think it'd make a big difference if the aluminum from the airbox cover to the seat aluminum piece was a perfectly straight line. JMO. Either way, amazing work, and it looks really really good.

^ no worries. The seat is just set on and a little crooked in the pics. I still have to weld on the brackets and set the height.

Hard to explain the hold down. But four short tubes will be welded to the tail. The seat will hold captive expandable rubber inserts. Set the seat on, tighten the screws, the rubber expands and holds tight to the tube. The screws are under the seat pad. Harder to explain than it is.

In the picture the short tubes that will be welded to the tail are still attached to seat.

Very nice. Have you considered stripping the paint off the frame and swingarm to match the aluminum body work?

A brilliant young local fabricator is helping me with the aluminum work. We are working from my sketches and having a good time with it.

nicholas900,

Has this fabricator taken any interest in reproducing a set of lighting body-work?

The tank and front fender look very similar to original Buell, so the flyscreen would be the only thing additional.

I would be very interest in that...
