Well it started with my wife. She won't ride with me or anyone on a bike. Never would ride on my Harley and definitely won't ride on the Buell. So why have a rear seat. I had an extra rear pad and cowl and the photos are the results. Gives me a bit more space for minimal effort and cost.

:)ver nice sledge could you post some more info and closer pics of the mechanism please.I also would like to know where you got your driver seat done and was the pad changed or shaved?...[confused]
 
Thanks fastxb. I'll take some more pics and post. My seat is just a stock seat covered in stingray. I found the stock foam to be acceptable for 100 mile hops so I just left it that way. I had it covered locally in Winston Salem NC. The mount is just a t hinge bolted to the cowl cover and to an existing mounting bolt in the tail cover. The latch bar is stock piece. I stripped the cover and foam from a stock rear pad cut the base plate and then epoxied it into the cowl . Gives you an nice place for the tool pouch or a rain liner.
 
thats exactly why I need to do this in florida you always need a rain suit and NOBODY other then me gets on my bike.Well... unless shes naked and I got a camera but thats daytona I mean another story.;)Looking forward to the pics and looks great[up][up]
