Hmm well got it all fixed and put on 50mi or so and the damn fuel line did the same thing....??.

Must be the gasoline gnomes again. Did you check for sharp points that could cause the hole when you installed the second fuel line?

can you take a pic of the fuel line while it's still connected so we can see how and where you're routing the line?

Hard to see why and how it would happen in the same spot if something was in either line, could it be possible that some fine sand could be mixed into the fuel and after a while sort of sand blast a hole in the line? Both lines are run in the stock manner and have nothing touching them where the fuel leaked through. Its leaks right after the metal aspect to the line.

are you sure that shine l bracket on the swing arm isn't hitting when the suspension travels? really looks like it is getting rubbed on the outside.

RT I will take a look now I have an additional set of eyes with Sara home, I tried to look but all seemed fine, maybe if I jump up and down a bit like hitting dips in the road she may be able to see something I cant.

So went out to my bike and basically bottomed out the susp. and the fuel line didnt touch the oil cap wire tie, rather the hose itself hit the swing arm, and where it was hitting is where the base metal parts of the fuel line ends and the plastic begins, I can see a tiny dot on the swing arm where the line was touching.

So all I needed to do was slightly turn the base of the line to avoid contact, I am having Aeroquip make me a new fuel line on Monday since it will be the fastest route (they are right across the street from my apt complex). Another choise that would be cheap is I can buy some fuel line at the store tomorrow and try that route, think it will be a waste since the part of the line that connects to the throttle body is plastic so I cant really hose clamp it tight....

They make kits to join the plastic and rubber.
There kind of generic and usually on a board with several styles.
Glad you found it.

Ps the joys of big jobs I just put a crank shaft in a 5.9 dodge ram.
Ran great till I drove it had a iretic crank sensor.
The new one I put in was bad out of the fen box.
Didn't relize till I cut the whole wire harness apart to check splices.

I am going to go to the parts store tomorrow to see if I can do it, I want to ride this weekend since the weather is nice, but if I cant do it right and make it look good I will wait. No reason to rush it and cobble it at the last minute.

Well went out to the garage and by golly what do yea know I have another fuel line!!! :D going to get an ear full but Sara has to work all weekend and well I pay for everything on her bike to include the bike so the fuel line is sort of mine ;)
