OH almost forgot this one, When you quote someone a pick-up time after a scheduled service you have 2 options, deliver on time and keep the customer happy, or deliver late, call the customer to appologize, and offer a steep discount on the service to keep the customer happy.... The Customer (us) didn't fall through on our deal, it's the dealer who didn't plan appropriately. We are already paying $400 + for a service, wouldn't it make sense to keep us happy so that we keep coming back? Or the third option.. Deliver Late, Don't appologize, and drive the customer to doing it themselves.

I also would like to thank you workor2wheel for making an effort.

Also I don't remember which Dealer He works For, but BuellPartsGuy does what Every Buell Parts Counter guy should. There should be a salesman who knows what he knows and can get the Parts a guy wants, and a good Wrench to do the work. I saw an 09 Firebolt with Black Everything. I asked if I could get the primary cover and heel plates and triple trees/forks. I wanted to order them right there. The guys just don't know enough about the Buells. so instead I ordered a Parts Catalog. so I can look up and cross reference what part I want and what it will fit and the part# so all they Have to do is order exactly what I write down. I have ordered some parts from the Dealer where My parents live so they can pick them up before they come to visit because the Dealer there (Bumpus HD Murfreesboro TN) will sit on the phone with you and discuss what you're looking for and what the desired end result you're wanting is and if what you're asking for will actually get you there or if you can go another route to get the same or better results and which is more affordable. they also gave me a discount for being Military, which the one here won't (they can't really though everyone is military) so I save money if I can wait until my parents drive out to see me. They Might even work with me on shipping, I haven't asked but they way they conduct themselves leads me to feel that they would. I have confidence in them. I would also be interested in having Buell Activities, or a local rider registry so that we can get together. Not everyone gets on here or Bad Web or any of the other sites, or maybe they do but only get on one of them. we're few enough in number anyway and then you spread us between several forums and websites, we'll only barely get word to each other. I'd like to know some other Buellers. Maybe some "Rider's Edge" classes Geared toward the Buells. that won't be feasible at every dealer but some of the bigger ones it would be worth the drive. the bikes handle different, the training should be different. Sigh I'll get off my box again. :)

Hey Poohsport, I'm located at Fort Knox, Where you located?

In order not to thread jack...

Dealers should umm... DO THEIR JOB, yea they work for the dealership but they actually "work" for us THE CUSTOMERS. I bet BPG has lots of SATISFIED customers.

1. Friendly service. I want a dealer that want s to sell me parts and service my BUELL motorcycle.

2. Carry some Buell parts both OEM and Bueel aftermarket. Some other brand aftermarket goodies would be nice too but for instance my dealership has one buell accessory in stock....hand grips. Yippee.....

3. Have some knowledge of the bikes. The models, the catalog, the parts etc. Most of the guys at my dealership don't even know the models.

a dealer thats open on tuesdays and wednesdays! haha just kiddin' I took the trip out today to find out you guys were closed... maybe next time!

My Dealer Bumpus HD Murfreesboro, TN.
Not the closest dealer to me but by far the best. I dealt with the GM when purchasing my bike and he treated me as if I was buying the most expensive Harley in the dealership. When they didn't have the 08 in the color I was looking for he quickly located one for me, but convinced me to wait an extra month and a half for the 09 models to come out. He called me the morning of the HD dealer show in Las Vegas when the buells were released to tell me about the changes for 09. That same day he put my name on the first one he recieved and I was riding it a couple of days later. Not to mention he sold it to me for the price he quoted me on the 08, below msrp. This dealer is not split between Buell and Harley Davidson and I don't think either customer is treated diffrently. Wokor2wheel Your taking the correct step in making customers Happy by actually wanting to.
