    XB to a Blast?

    Well gents, I do believe I'm going in the opposite direction i originally intended. I have a line on a reasonably priced HD XR1200x. Dude was an ol' Softail rider who bought it on a whim but now wants out because he has too many toys. Anyone w experience on one?

    XB to a Blast?

    Many thanks, my friends. I have quite a decision ahead of me. The 'Zook 650F & the Ninja 650R are also calling...different machines, etc. I will consider all of above & report back. Truth be told I wish I had been able to re-build my XB9, but I know that's a lost cause now. :-/ --Finny

    XB to a Blast?

    Very cool discussion all--thanks! Hadn't thought of the "to its limits" argument. How does the thumper compare to the Vtwin in terms of feel & sound?

    XB to a Blast?

    Well my body's better so I've been thinking about riding again. Since my XB9 wreck around Labor Day, I have looked into other bikes but just don't have the loot. :-/ With that background, I have recently begun to wonder: Has anyone gone from an XB or a Tuber to a Blast? I know that's not the...

    looking into another buell!

    Sorry to hear about the loss, man. Mine was totaled in a wreck around Labor Day, so at least I know what happened to mine. Good luck with your search for a new bike! :)

    **Wrecked XB9SX--SO: SV650S? Firebolt?

    It's good to hear that discussion of the SV is tolerated, even encouraged on our Buell site. I'm partial to Buell's too (hence considering a 'Bolt this time around) but there are more SV's out there for the taking & they seem like nice bikes. Riding one was a dream. Tough choice. Keep the...

    **Wrecked XB9SX--SO: SV650S? Firebolt?

    Thanks TwoGuns & Oh9Bolt. Just the kind of feedback I was looking for. I'd love to go with the 'Bolt, but the Zook has a lot going for it as well (not the least of which is parts/service are readily available. Wth, Harley?) Great photos! Is it easy to fit bar-lifts/risers on the 'Bolt to...

    **Wrecked XB9SX--SO: SV650S? Firebolt?

    Hey all-- Well I'm healing up enough from my Labor Day weekend accident (see prior post) to start looking @ bike's again. Unfortunately, my '09 XB9SX was totaled. I loved her--may she R.I.P. As much as I loved it, thought it might be time for a change & I have a question: Anyone ever gone...

    1st time down

    Hey man--sorry to hear about your accident. I didn't get off so light over Labor Day weekend -- & my bike didn't make it, either. I'm really glad to hear you're Ok & I hope that knee heals up quick. My second thought was glad to hear the bike is in fair shape as well, though obviously your...

    -->Crashed XB9SX, parts to salvage?

    Well it was, Crawfo. I wish we could ride together 'em together, brother. :-/

    -->Crashed XB9SX, parts to salvage?

    Hey everyone. Thanks so much for the well-wishes -- means a lot. UPDATE: I went to get the remains of my bike & it had already been picked up by the salvage yard, so I was able to strip nothing. NADA. Sucks. I may head to the salvage yard & try to buy the wreck. I did talk to the...

    Detroit Buellers

    I was until the crash. :( Royal Oak. My XB9SX was rear-ended & wrecked Labor Day weekend. I'm still here though (mending). Between bikes right now, sadly. RIP, baby. I (think) I posted a fun name for a would-be Detroit Buell owners club a while back: DECIBEL (DE-troit CI-ty...

    -->Crashed XB9SX, parts to salvage?

    Thanks for the get well messages, everyone. Times heals but it's going to take a lot of it! :( Everything in the back of the bike is wrecked, so I'm focusing on the front 1/2. What's the easiest way to get at the ECM?

    -->Crashed XB9SX, parts to salvage?

    Hey everyone-- Last weekend I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light by a sleeping cager. I was thrown from the bike & then run over by the car. I had on my helmet, gloves, & heavy denim. Good news: I'm alive & my injuries will eventually heal. Bad news: My 2009 XB9SX was...

    My first buell.

    ...nice bike, Dub! [up] I think I may have to add a 'Bolt along side my City-X & Bandit in the stable....

    Buellers in Michigan?

    SONOFA :p I think there's a ride/meet in Hell (Michigan) this Spring/Summer--anyone know about that one? Maybe DECIBEL should make a showing.... :D

    The HEAT, man--THE HEAT!!

    Many thanks for the most excellent replies & suggestions. I have read them all & will take heed. And yes, I have been wearing pants. Jeans, to be exact. Or sport-leathers. But you all seem to know that I prefer to be pantless everywhere else. LOL Again--y'all rock. :D
