I see your bike!

Lol, nice find! Indeed that's my bike; unmistakably. That's probably the dirtiest my bike has ever been too. That's a darn good price on those sliders. I'd have paid upwards of $150 for these. Very high quality.

@jakestolar cause you're due any time now to post again asking about my second caliper LOL: I've still been putting all my time and resources into finishing my car BUT I did purchase the billet alum needed and will be adding the second caliper soon.[up]

Sorry if posted a reply before, but do you have any info on those forward foot stands?
Cheers,
WOLF

I designed some peg brackets and had them welded to the floor plate of the D&D. The tabs extend up and bolt to the cases. When I get into the twisties I just flip them up with my feet and carve it up!

Sennnnnsational.
Feel free to post pics up close of this, but even if you don't... great work and thanks for the reply.
Well thought out bike.
Cheers.

Thx man. The brackets are up underneath the belly pan and I didn't take any pics before installing the exhaust and pegs. The peg on the right side replaces the fairing mount point. The one on the left I mirrored off the right side since there is not a fairing mount in the same location.

I have respect for the bike, though shes not my taste.

The rx7 you posted you completely ruined however. I love the ls1 swap, but that bulging bodywork ruined the lines of one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

Although I could never afford 1/4 of what you put into that rx7, so i will leave it at that.

What do you do for a living?

Honestly don't mean to hate, nice nice parts on that buell.

Update: Got the Webinar+PC setup with Max/Octopus via The Tuniversity last week. Great guy and excellent customer support/service. Highly recommended.

Spent all weekend logging rides and tuning. VERY happy with the outcome. The bike was a real dog after all the changes I made: K&N/Airbox delete/Showy RamAirLid/D&D/Beast of a rear wheel&tire/Super tall gearing. Now I have ALL the power back and then some. I also lowered the idle so it idles more like my 05 XB12R. 1st and 2nd gear wheelies no prob now!

Also, did my first oil/tranny fluid change. First I flushed the oil system with Seafoam and 30 miles. Drained that then in went 4qt V-twin Amsoil and 1qt in the trans.

The looks I get riding down the street are priceless. Most the harley guys don't wave much as it appears to be a sportbike from the front. Then as I pass and they hear the v-twin rumble and 280 tire they do a double take. Conversely the sportbike guys throw up a big wave then keep looking back after they pass....like WTF!? Good times[up]

I dont know how I missed this gem of a thread. A-fucking-mazing work. Do u have ur own cnc machine if u are crafting one off parts out of billet blocks? Or do u design and leave it to a shop to finish? I too would agree with the photo shop job that put ur fairing a bit higher, i think it smooths out the body lines much better. But thats just my humble opinion, and it aint my bike, or my money put into it, so i say keep it how YOU like it. I wish to one day have the creativity, skills, and eye for crafting and machining that you have in your little finger.

You Sir, are awesome.

Thx bro. I sure wish I had my own CNC. I design everything and what I can't make with my shop hand tools I send to the shop to have made.

I've never liked or been impressed with "fat tire" bikes... This one has totally changed my attitude about them. If I can borrow a phrase from my teenage son, "this bike is SICK!" in the best possible way. I love what you did with th Duc fairing --the bike just looks sinister! Nice!!

I saw this bike in person yesterday. I have to say, its very sneaky at first. You identify it as a buell, then every time you look at it again you notice something new. The more you look at it the more you can tell a lot of work and thought went into it.

I told Adam yesterday that hes in the wrong business currently. He should be in a shop making $$$ off his ideas and skills.
