I think it would look cool if you could somehow light the inside of your tailpipe up with some sort of led that matches your other leds. It might not work but worth trying.

Lost my phone today. FYI. My phone mount on bike failed Going back to industrial velcro. Should have new phone in 3-5 days. Will attempt sound clip then. Any advise on getting good quality recording? I am getting a Samsung Intercept.

Keep it out of the wind if you're riding. The further away from the exhaust the better. When it's too loud, it over modulates the microphone.

As far as phone mount go, I've had great luck with my inner jacket pocket. Everything else is either too iffy or too big.

Btw Jobe i noticed that ou kept your phone on your triple tree... Is there a purpose for this? Using a GPS app or something? I keep mine in my denim pockets and have no problem.

I did velcro on my fuse box cover last year and It worked all year.

yes. GPS,speedo,dyno,1/4 mile timer, and it looks cool at night with the huge digital speedo. If you watch the old James Bond movies he had a led digital silver watch. Was very cool back in the day.

Oh ok right on! Thats a good idea. Looks like you sadly learned the hard way that it needs to be held down really well. Especially if you are busting out 1/4 times.

Like Dave said... just make sure the microphone is far enough from the exhaust. Or speaker away from the wind.
I took clips on my crappy phone and it wasn't too bad...

Hey Jobe, what do you think about the led inside the exhaust tip? It would look cool at night. On a cold night the exhaust smoke would come out colored.[smirk]

Would be very cool. I also thought about a vibration sensitive strobe light mounted above the pipe. Not sure how to keep the lights cool tho. Also running out of spots to put lights. I am drawing alot with my 200 + leds as it is. LOL! If I can fit an Odessey battery in my bike somehow I will light up the exhaust. I actually have a blacklight led right now I could use. The white smoke should look killer with a uv blacklight. Especially in the cold weather at night. It will happen this year for sure.

I am drawing alot with my 200 + leds as it is.

They're LEDs man. They draw next to nothing. Give it a test and leave them on overnight. I'm sure they'll still be on in the morning and the bike will start.

I wonder if you could find a heat resistant plastic tube and run it to your pipe. Then light up the other side like fiber optics.

^^^woahh dude I want whatever your smoking. But seriously tho that is a good idea. Hmmmm. Heat resistant plastic up to 1000 degrees. Were could I find that? Also it would cook the inside of the leds like a oven. I would need like a liquid cooled pyrex tube will water proof leds. But then how would I cool the lead wire??? Man.. sounds like alot of work. Reminds me of pimps with fishtanks in there shoes. LOL!
