jsut wondering which stand you have and if that may have been the issue.

I have the 03' stand. I am going to convert soon.

Not doing led's in the pipe. I like the idea of sound sensitive strobe's maybe tho.

I did not build this. Just sharing a photo.

Decided I want to see whats behind me. I bid on a back up camera but no luck. Back up camera probably wouldn't work in the sun any how. Would be cool at night tho.

Seeing behind you is overrated really...

Hey What's that on the lower left side fairing support?

Its an 1/8 in. aluminum L-bracket band-aid. It cracked last year from me sliding into a mailbox. Going to weld it (if I can) then I paint it black. Eventually.

The Firebolt fairing stay is Magnesium, you better know what the hell your doing welding that stuff!

~Mike....

Thanks Mike. I did not know that. I will mention that to Scratch (my welder)

What do you guys think of my mocked up oversized breather??? Too much air? idk

I am thinking about chopping the tank down 2 inches. It hold's a quart now. I am just lazy and dont want to empty the resivior everytime I ride. Plus I think it kinda looks cool. Sort of ish.....Differnt thats for sure.

Since your asking, I think it's a HIDEOUS MONSTROSITY!!

But it's your bike *shrug*.

I do however like the Jardine tip, I was going to do the very same thing though using 3" tubing cut almost exactly like yours is cut. Now I get to see it without having to do it!

It did turn out pretty big :( I think I will chop it up and make it half the size. Maybe mount somewere else.

Time for some sawzall action!!!

I think you'll find it's going to be too big no matter how you cut it up. That filter is ridiculously big as well for a simple re-route breather. Your using 1/4" hose, how much air do you think is being drawn through that!?! And even if it held 7 ounces, you wouldn't be emptying it but twice a season max.

~Mike....;)

I am going to build a half shield on on the front of the filter. I paid $80.00 for it. Its going to work somehow. LOL!

Hey Jobe...props to you for doing what you want, and not giving a **** what anyone thinks. Is Jobe your first name? Thats my last name. Spelled the same too

the catch can is a joke.. sorry jobe, but that is a FAIL!

if you are not into remembering to empty then why not run an open line? there are quite a few aussies who do just that.

Jobe, have you done a TPS reset, or have a race map on the bike. I couldn't help but notice the slightly low idle. Although that could be a cause of many other environmental things as well

My line is open and has never had a catch. Never a problem either, or a drop under the bike. The end of the tube sits against the kick stand bolt providing it with constant lubrication. That kick stand is soo smooth. Not a squeak either.

ANybody wanna buy a catch can? lol!
