bar end mirrors

Has anyone tried the 3rd-eye bar-ends?
I think they're made for bicycles, but I'm wondering if they'd work well on the Buell....

I went with CRG Arrow bar ends. I had some spikes laying around so put those in the mirror mount holes instead of using plain black bolts or plugs. Hopefully it adds a deterrence to anyone thinking of making contact, while i'm riding.

I just got my set from eBay in today. Very similar to the oberon's but cost me $29.95 shipped. High quality mirrors, with zero vibration. I could not be any happier.

I bought a pair off of ebay that said they were 7/8 inch but I had a hard time getting them to expand large enough... any tips I've seen people say they used electrical tape? do you wrap it around and then try to expand it, or do you expand it as far as possible and the tape it?

My ebay specials I bought yesterday. Snyder did yours have two metal inserts one going over the other? mine fit just fine with just the inside insert but then again I have renthal bars and they are really thick.

Well I'm going to see what I can rig up that will work halfway decent. I'll find a way to get them to stick :)

Finally got bar-ends for my 2009 XB9SX and was able to keep the handguards without using adapters. Basically sandwiched the handguard ears between the bar-end and actual handlebar - a little trimming on the throttle sleeve was needed to prevent binding. So don't spend the extra $$ for those unneeded adapters!
Lightnings look sick with bar-ends (IMHO) but I wanted to keep the handguards in order to keep the City-X's personality.

Ended up taking the bar tip off of my SV650 and clamped my mirror to that. Ebay mirror cheapo $15 but no vibration. Right now I can't find the other tip off of the other bike, but once I do I will mount my second mirror.

Might as well add my new rizoma to the list so others know it is available.

hey henri66 i was checking out mirrors and was gonna get something similar to yours but with an oval-ish mirror. i'm wondering if you can tell me if they will hit the frame when turning if i mounted it pointing downwards.

depends on youur budget i guess rizzomas are my fav. but would use up to much of my budget at over $112 a peice so i got a pair off ebay for $40.The only thing I dont like is im gonna have to swapp a few steel bolts to stainless but im happy since they saved me around $180

Just got my $27 ebay bar ends today.
Quality:
The frame of the mirror appears to be of good quality. The one mirror has a tiny chip
The Bar ends that came with, the edges are all scuffed, missing paint.

Can't complain too much for the price and they shipped fairly quickly.

I've been looking at mirrors online and noticed that some are like 8mm and 7mm and what not.. but i'm just wondering what is the right size for a 2007 xb12ss?
