got a new bike today. its a 2009 trek fuel ex8. good deal on closeout that i couldnt pass up. 120mm rear travel and 130mm front. not a dh bike but it can take bigger hits/mistakes than the full race xc bikes. it will be a good all around bike.

for sure, if it ever stops snowing. i prob saw 10 cars in the ditch on my way home, i still did 60-70 but some cant handle it

My bikes look so ready to be ripped around on some trails but with freezing temps and 8" of snow still on the ground that isn't going to happen.

so i was looking for a kona hoss that was for sale to see what mine is worth since i might be selling it. I came across this one on craigslist. Who see's a problem here?

I contacted him just to ask him about it. His response "The fork is mounted as it was when the bike was purchased. I bought it from a professional bike shop in Germany." Then in the next email with this closeup pic he said "Your question about the fork sparked my curiosity, I think it is on backward according to the pics of other bikes I've looked at. I would not know one way or another."

and im not really into road bikes bentlife but you did a nice job with that bike. here is a great read, little long but so worth it especially if you ever worked in a bike shop.

Thanks kona and I love all bikes lol, the reason I love fixies is because how simple they are and how cheap they are to build I have a total of 5 fixies and each one is built on a budget not exceeding 250 bucks that last one cost me 125.00 and each one is a dif color I use them to decorate my house. Have a dif color lugged fixie in each room. For moutain I don't ride anything but specialized, IMO nothing compares to there handling, I'll take a pic of my new bike when it's done ( going with a van halen theme) I have the pic of my custom painted fork, I will post that when I get home. I also have a 1970 schwinn speedster brand new with the original owners manual.

Hey, spring cleaning found a couple tyres I dont need.. Continental Mountain Kings.. 29X2.4 tubes inlcluded.Msrp is around 35-40 bucks. 50 Bucks shipped for the pair. Only about 5-10 miles on the tyres. I'll clean em up before shipping.
