Brembo brake mod

I do have a few questions for those of you that have performed this mod, did you use your stock reservoir cup?

I used the OEM Buell cup and hose, and affixed it to the MC nipple with a hose clamp.

That looks great. So, do I understand correctly that the OE brake line will work on an XB12Ss, or no?

OK guys, I've been working on my new project (Lexus SC with a JDM 2JZ-GTE swap) but that is at a stand still while I wait for stuff from Japan...so I got a little time and decided to finish the hidden Brembo mod: caliper/Master Cylinder. First I installed the brembo M/C while I was waiting for my bracket to show up. Great improvement over stock, modulation and pedal feel great but didn't notice much more braking performance. After I got the caliper installed "wow". I'm still scrubbing in my new Pilot Power 2CTs but I'll let you know what I think when we're 100%. Enjoy!!!

I am planning to do this with my 2007 xb9r does anyone know if I can use the stock brake line or will it need to be changed.

mcdonald1983,

boy, your just full of questions :D

It is my understanding that the shorter wheel base XB's can use the stock line.

nitto, I have done the brembo hidden caliper and brembo mc mods on my 05 xb12r and the stock line can be used but the line will be stretched pretty tight. So, I bought a new Brembo mc from a multistrada and stole the cable that came with it. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Awesome mods though. Keep up the good work.

Ive just completed this mod, im in OZ and own a SS, you can use the stock line aslong as you flip it on the master cylinder, here are some pics:

Ill get the part number tomorrow for you, bought it straight from a Brembo dealer in the States, he was very very helpful and cheap in my books

With this model caliper you can use your stock line, just need the brembo banjo bolt and washers and thats all

I want this.......

Is dark horse the only place to get that bracket, $70 is re-damn-diculous! Does anyone know the specs, maybe some of the machinists on here would be will to make a few...
