thanks for your help.yes i did press on the key buttons,and evey thing else. it seemed to do eveything but when the stuff i needed to press on would not work at all,the arrow dissapeared when i moved on it. i did the auto detect,it found the port with no problem.not shure about the vcp driver,but i installed everything it let me install after a few hours.

all the keys do is show a small box that says closed loop.i do notice im not getting a fetch maps or burn maps like in the instructions .what am i doing wrong here?

Turn on the bikes key switch, turn the run switch to on. No need to crank. Make sure your cable is plugged into the diagnostic plug till it latches. If it is showing you the com port you already have the driver installed. Press the keys button. You should be getting information up on your general screen. Meaning all the white spaces should be filling with numbers.

Make sure that you have ecmspy set for the professional setting. To do this go to view....then just click professional. That should fix your problem.

Hi all. Just joined the forum and I think I'm backwards now. I downloaded the ECMSpy program listed at the beginning of this thread from the webserver, installed the program, followed the thread along and switched the language to English.
However, when I tried to download the drivers, the link said the filename wasn't there and linked me to similar filename on the server? I didn't download that. Then I read where I may not have the newest version of the ECMSpy program?
I'm a little lost, and in all honesty didn't try to read through ALL the posts. Thought I would skip to end here and get the most up to date information.
Help me XB-Wan, you're my only hope

i set it to pro. settings and fetch program off ecm and burn to ecm cam up,i did bolth but i do not think that i installed the race program. it is on my computer but i cant get it to where im doing the work pluged into the bike. how do i bring up the race program? i now can retreve codes and i think what i did was remove the stock program and install it back on .i wish i had just bought a race ecmthe cord id only $50. but i had to beg for a lap top,and im 3 days into this.also,how will i know if the race program is installed?

ok,i did not know i could copy and paste over the old map,ill give it a try. how do i save my old map? it does not show how to save to disc or anything.

So im waiting for my laptop charger to come in and haven't been on in a while, but I should oopen another window and load the race eeprom and steal the fuel and timing maps from it and plug those into my stock map window? From what I have read this should be correct so I do not fry my my brain. is this right? I never knew there were different race eeproms until reading this forum, but it does make sense now.

my bikes all screwed up now. i give up..im not a computer wizz,i need a screwdriver. its now poping,skipping,backfireing and stalling,i have to find away to get it to a dealer or someone who knows what they are doing and just hope i did not damage anything.

Okay Buellysses i went to download the drivers from FTDI but it said The document name you requested (/Drivers/CDM/CDM 2.04.16 WHQL Certified.zip) could not be found on this server. However, we found documents with names similar to the one you requested. Available Drivers /Drivers/CDM/CDM 2.06.00 WHQL Certified.zip Should i download those drivers or do you have another link. Thanks for the help as well as hosting the download. Thanks
