Kona, may want to cut him a bit of slack. I had broken my server again, link may not have been working.

I actually thought I had lost the whole thing entirely! That would have sucked! =)

As of today(8/3/12), the line seems to be broken still. Any idea when it will be back up or anywhere else I can find the download for ecmspy?

Is the download on the first page the same as whats on Buellmods?
Do i need to install the driver for the cable if i have windows 7?
My old computer (windows xp) crapped out so in starting over again on a dell netbook running windows 7.

Looks like i figured it out. I ran the EXE for the driver. Ran ecmspy and the comport failed.

Windows 7 assigned the cable to com port 52....changed to com port 2 and im in the money!

I've downloaded ecmspy from first link in this post BUT it is in a foreign language. Anyway to change it to english without downloading again?

Is it necessary to purchase the cable??? I'm thinking of taking a USB cable crimping on some terminal ends. Has anyone else done this????

Some site has a how to build a cable but I can't remember off hand what site. I believe there is more to it than just a cable with some terminal ends on it tho I can't be positive.

the cable has to have a serial to usb conversion which a standard cable doesn't have

Awesome! Download worked. Now whats the best source for the cable? Gonna use this to reset TPS, also figure out why I get a stumble off idle when the bike is cold. Breather mod done, better plugs installed, K&N air filter. Any and all pointers apreciated!
