Yeah that isle of man TT stuff is just ridiculous, I'll switch my MOS to infantry in the Marines and die for something righteous though before I die for some two wheeled thrills
 
Ok so funny story, this old fart Todd has an R1, talking bout 5th gear wheelies over 100mph. I called him out for being stupid and claimed a bikes real colors are shown in some twisties. He claims 190mph turns, i call ********. Now ive been challenged to a canyon duel. Competing on the roads is dangerous someone will crash. I declined the race called a sissy oh well grandpa im 25 and called crash for a reason.

Now i wanna know what you guys think the outcome would be? With expierenced very aggressive riders with egos? R1 or XB12r in the twisties?

What state is this in? I really dig that turn right before and right after the bridge.

Isn't it funny how as soon as you get to the twistiest/most dangerous part of the road, cars come out of nowhere.

That first big-ass truck after no cars at all kinda made my heart skip a beat.

It would take a very skilled track junkie to come close to keeping up with me on my favorite roads.

Used to have a CBR600 and one of the biggest problems was lack of cornering clearance. Rear sets would have helped, but I even had scrapes on my cases, muffler, and plastics. (I took young and dumb to a new level, grown up since then)

My Buell requires a lot less effort on tighter corners and since it's an Ss I have stupid amounts of clearance.

Anyone bragging about taking corners at 190mph you could probably beat. But like you said if you start racing on the street someone is bound to go down, just a matter of time. You start competing and keep pushing further until it happens.

And most people think they are much more capable riders than they actually are.
 
I have heard people talking about dragging pegs on here, then they put up a random hey look at my bike and they have 2" chicken strips. [confused] There are quite a few talkers on here of how great they are at "hitting some twisties".


I have big chicken strips and I am proud of them.
 
yeah it's kind of funny, someone see a professional racer dragging knee with slicks on sticky asphalt and suddenly they think they can do it safely on the street with their hard sport touring tires and gravely asphalt that isn't sticky.

I think I'm a pretty good rider but very rarely get all the way to the edge of my tire, it just isn't that safe on poor road conditions. "dragging knee" and "dragging pegs" is said because people want to sound cool. I've never done either and have never been left behind in the corners, even by "better" riders on "better" bikes.

You strut those strips oh9 :)
 
I prefer not to drag anything.
Slows you down too much and then you have to start replacing stuff.

Do elbows count?
