What did you think of his divael?
Guy I ride with just bought a Diavel. We went riding the other day and we switched bikes for awhile.
My opinion of it is that I'm talking myself out of buying one. I'm a little taller and I have to say, I fit the Diavel much better. The ergos are set up to fit me a little better. It has a much lower seating position and longer wheel base with the seat further back than the Buell. When I got back on my buell I realized just how far up on top of the bike we sit. That Diavel almost feels like the riding position of a cruiser, but with more power than I'd ever need. It offers various riding modes with utilizes different suspension settings and reigns in or opens up the horsepower based on which setting you choose. Can be handy in certain situations, i.e. sudden weather changes, poor road conditions, etc.
For me, it was a more comfortable ride. It's got a huge rear tire and I thought that would cause some lagging in responsiveness in a turn, but surprisingly it didn't really do that at all. I'm not a track guy and at times I feel like I push my bike, but the truth of the matter is I'm probably not pushing the bike at all, rather I'm pushing myself and my own capabilities which makes me feel like I'm pushing the bike. I'd assume there are many on our bikes, or any other bikes who do the same thing.
I love my Buell and regardless if I get another bike I'll always keep my Buell. It'll be the one constant in the garage. I love many aspects of my bike which is why I'd keep it, but I am also interested in the technology in some of these other bikes like Ducatis and BMW's. Not because I feel they are "better" bikes, but just different bikes. And riding different bikes onky helps gain riding experience.
And as much as I loved that Diavel, I loved riding beside my Buell and listening to it and watching it ride down the road. I fell in love with it all over again, and was happy to get back on it.
