All,
Randy is unbelievable... one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of talking to... talk about customer service!! He called me multiple times and we discussed lots of cool ideas for the Buell. He returned the exhaust the next day after receiving it!! And also gave a discount for us good ole military veterans... what a great guy!! I just received it on my doorstep tonight and will be putting in on in the morning. While I was waiting, I put on the K&N as well as the breather mod...

put on the hawk muffler, K&N filter and breather mod. The bike idles fine and runs through the gears and nice acceleration.. the problem is is bogs down and almost sounds like it's choking with I rev the throttle from idle in neutral. I can come off the clutch in first and not a real problem.. but it hesistates on the initial throttle twist... I have an 08 Firebolt XB12R... I did the manual TPS reset as they describe with the open throttle, close throttle 4 times deal... didn't help.

You probably need to tune the ECM, but it is not easy to do on 08 bikes and newer. The Filter and new pipe is WAY too much for the ECM to adjust too and the bike is going to run super lean. Try putting the stock filter back on and see if that makes the bike run better.

I have a K&N on a an otherwise stock bike but this is making me scared to Hawk my exhaust. I dont want to sacrifice ride ability.

I have a Hawk and a Buell ProSeries air filter on my 09 and run the stock ECM and have no issues. It runs strong and sounds bitchen !

I had the K&N and Hawk on my Stock 09 for a while. ran fine except for a decel pop. Did you run the bike for about 10 minutes at 3000RPM to let the stock ECM relearn the mapping. I now have the EBR ECM and it is a different bike again.

Question: is the jacking point on Randys modified muffler still ok or not

I just saw that nobody answered your question...
I asked Randy this when I got mine and he said that the jack point is slightly weakened, but it still can be used. Just be careful. Don't jump on the bike while it is on the lift (I would hope you wouldn't do such a stupid thing anyway).

Well my Hawke arrived in the land of Oz today ! Fitted it up no probs and took off for quick fang before nightshift ! Big fistfull in first saw the front wheel heading skyward second gear , third an so on look down at speedo thinking 130's. Woops it's 160's !! Man me wee wee is hard !!!!!! Ha ha ha ! Gotta luv livin 7 km from town ! No decel popping and no more 100km random stutter ! Runnin like a raped ape ! And sounds awesome ,Thanks Randy. You ledgend !'

I have a 03 xb9r and am looking to get my exhaust done by hawk. What preprogramed ecm would i need from ebr? When i get an ecm and exhaust i would have to mod the airbox and breather? I already have a k&n. Im pretty new to this bike

EBR offers a Hawk option on their race ECMs. Alternatively you *can* program your stock ECM with a race map as a baseline and work your way from there. Either way - the stock mapping just isn't going to do your bike justice with a Hawk and a K&N.

Ok i see, do i have to mod the airbox and breather to run a race ecm and hawk exhaust? I dont want to use ecm program unless to tps reset. Afraid ill mess something up.
