I've been riding motorcyles of all types for 30 years and I love HJCs. I just picked up an IS-16. For around 200 bucks, you can't really beat it. I use my helmets daily and they can get pretty beat up. No reason for me to spend 500+ bucks on one. It is one of the lightest helmets I've ever had. Much lighter than my Shark and fits better than my Shoei. The integrated sun visor is fantastic, air flow is good, and it is relatively quiet. The only thing that feels cheezy to me are the d-rings for the strap. The interior is nice with a new moisture wicking fabric. And yes, the cheek pads are replaceable just in case they ever do wear out. What's nice about HJC is that they offer a full range of helmets from very inexpensive beginner helmets all the way to very expensive high-end helmets used by racers.
