I think my engine is blown, options?

lol just tell her the engine is blown its going to cost about 4500 to fix it but that is cheaper than a new bike
 
Can I take a sneak peak into my crank by opening this side of the case?

No, that is not the problem. I am just glad it is a push rod engine IMO they are quite simplistic
 
Um the last time I checked ALL motors have pushrods EXCEPT the Wankle rotary design that Mazda uses/used.

This is just a smaller version of a pushrod engine....:D
 
it really doesn't take that long to get down to the engine, it's a PITA to put the frame back on, that was my only complaint when I did it every time.

take off the exhaust and jack up the bottom side of the engine. take off the front tire and fender then just undo everything as if an engine rotation except instead of just rotating you take the bolt that goes through the rear mount out, take off the rear suspension, and just keep lifting til it's off.
just make sure to get all your electricals unplugged otherwise you could break some wires.
