Thanks everybody! Can't wait till I get my chin cowl on, really going to look good! Still need some more things, ASV levers, signals, pulley cover, and some more things here and there I'm sure. Would really like to get my set of stands next, as I'll be needing a new front tire here soon.

Well, she has come a very, very long way since the day I brought her home on July 8th, 2013 with just over 1,200 miles and bone stock.

Then...

As she sits now, with just over 5,200 miles.

Mods include:
Custom breather reroute
Dual headlight mod
CRG bar end mirror
DieselMoto fender eliminator
2010 Buell LED taillight
Renthal Streetfighter handlebars
50dro axle sliders
50dro case sliders
Full Arctic White Fairings
K&N air filter
Custom Hawk exhaust
EBR ECM

I still have things on my list to get this bike exactly to were I want it. Hopefully will be done before the one year mark of ownership.

Left to do:

ASV levers
Rizoma LED turn signals
50dro pulley cover
Stands
Knight Design pegs, shift/brake lever

Who knows what else. Only time will tell guys.

Makes me want one even more. Working on the cost for shipping and when I can find out how much the total cost will be, I might pull the trigger. If the cost is out of my range, I might make an offer for the one that has more miles and is an hour ride away. [up]

Haven't been too active lately, just an update.

Eclipsed 7K miles this week! :)

Plan to do some more things over this winter as I did last. I'm thinking:

Ceramic coat my Hawk exhaust and my headers as well.
T Rex stands
Pulley cover
Levers
Turn signals

Still a lot to do!

Hey everybody! Hope you all are doing well! It's been a while since I've really given an update about myself and Layal, but for those of you interested...

I've made a career change the beginning of this year and am absolutely loving my new job! I work with my best friend and get to travel the country and am treated very well by this new company. That being said, I've been adding a lot of parts to the list to be installed and am pulling the trigger on a lot of things to get Layla where I want her to be.

I've spent about $700 in some new gear and am still waiting on some to arrive, as well as some new parts to kick off the new year! I got her out about a week ago, seeing the weather finally breaking into change, but being in Ohio that can change on a dime. It's been decent here, around 50s but come cold weather and rain has been forecasted when I am actually home so that puts a damper on my riding time. I'm usually gone for work two weeks at a time during the weekdays, really only leaving the weekend for riding time. I've been home all of this week, but Mother Nature just hasn't been cooperative. Anyways....

Ordered my Rizoma turn signals for the fronts, will be here this Monday! I also am going to go a little different on my tail. I've noticed with my fender eliminator, my plate has been hitting my tire, causing it to bend and fold. Originally, I was going to get Rizoma turn signals all the way around, but since this is happening in going to relocate my plate under the tail belly pan, and I put an order in for a smoked XB Lights integrated tail light, so it will really clean the back end up. I have a license plate frame with LEDs in them to illuminate my plate when it is relocated.

I also ordered a new vanity plate. I wanted it to be "12SCG," however it was taken so I went with "XBSCG" as my new plate!

I will also be placing an order through 50dro for one of his pulley covers and a set of ASV C5 shorty levers. I'm super excited to finally upgrade the stockers!

I am going to upgrade my exhaust to a Drummer, and since EBR is closing their doors, Kevin at KD Fab is now offering tunes for his exhaust so I'll be sending in my stock ECM for him to flash.

That being said, I will be listing my Hawk and EBR ECM that is tuned for the Hawk to be for sale when the time comes.

I'll be posting pics as normal when the changes happen, just wanted to give you all an update as it's been a while. Hope all is well fellow Buellers!

Well, here she is.... a few more things to come, just waiting to pull the trigger on them. Please let me know what you think!

Well fellow members, it's been a great ride. I've appreciated everybody's support and enjoyed being a member of the Buell XB community, however my time being a Buell owner came to an end Saturday, May 30th. A gentlemen came to look at Layla and purchased her from me. I know it sounds silly, but there was definitely a bond between her and I, from the first day I picked her up until the day I sold her, she was an amazing motorcycle. As you can see through this thread I did a big transformation. Completely changing her look, I made her mine with all the customization. She was a terrific motorcycle that left me smiling the entire ride and I will miss that feeling. But it's time to move.

I went to a Suzuki dealership and placed an order for a left over 2014 Suzuki DRZ400SM in the exact color combination as Layla, blue on white. It'll be a new chapter and I'll keep everybody posted if anybody is interested.

I just want to say thank you, to everybody. This is one community where members truly help each other out, and really is polite and respectful to one another. I want to specifically send a thank you to 50dro for letting me pester him weekly with questions and whatever else I probably annoyed him with!

Thanks again fellas!

You're welcome (even though we're no longer friends! Haha :p ) Enjoy that DRZ! Need levers for it? ;)

Wow. Sold?

Congrats nevertheless.

Great looking bike. Hope the new owner appreciates the work you have done.

Congrats on the start of a new chapter. I loved and still miss my sumo. Great fun to be had and the drz is very responsive to even basic mods. Check out supermojunkie.com for tons of great info. Good guys with lots of experience (at least while I was around back a few years ago).

Keep us updated. I'd love to see how the transformation goes.
