These box-with-four-wheels drivers will either kill or be killed in order to get a lesson, to learn to focus on the road [mad]

Ok guys! Just want to say thanks again to all of you for being an inspiration and teaching me all the info I know. That has lead me to gain the confidence that I could build my own dream Buell. I have had many of these parts sitting around but for some reason I kind of knew I would be putting them on another Buell once I was ready. The accident pushed me to create me vision.

The starting bike: 2007 Yellow and black XB12R with 5k miles.

The bike isn't done but I promised pictures so here it is as of today. More mods this week to follow.....

Good to see you're back on the saddle! Bikes looking good! Lots of good mods!!

Grand Stand Designs 240mm Tire kit w/ chain conversion (stock ratio for now)

Stock ratio for now? What will you change it to?

Thanks netty242, lots of work have gone into this Build so far!

Its currently at 51 tooth rear but i want to go to a 48 for lower RPM on the highway.

Good call. I've got a 47 on mine. Is that a grandstand rear sprocket? The only one I've been able to find is a vortex.

Is that a grandstand rear sprocket?
Yeah, its their cheapest one. I did this one cause I was scared that I would need the torque for the 240 tire. Bike has no problem pushing the tire so ill get one of GSD's other sprockets eventually.
And where did the steering damper come from? I need to bite the bullet and put one on.
ASB Dampener, yeah its a spendy bullet to bite but I like it so far. I have it on the softest setting so that I can ease into it. I only feel it at low speeds and moving it around the garage.

Hands down the best hand levers I have yet to see on a Buell [up]

Looks to be coming together very well. Are you planning on swapping the front forks to even out the drop with the swing arm swap?

Looks good for sure!

Oh and a big [up] on cutting off the upper belt guard bracket. I did the same this over the winter with a cutting wheel and a small piece of metal
To cover the raw metal, since I forgot to cut them off an smooth them out both times I powder coated my swing arm.

WOW.

You've got some real trick bits on there, I'd love to get a few of those for mine.

BTW that's my fav full exhaust system for the XB's

Looks good man!!! Glad you were able to put it back together! That exhaust is sweet![up]

That's an RRC pulley cover not Free Spirits pulley cover though. ;)

Thank you xtremelow, I really liked the big chunks of billet aluminum. They are super strong and sturdy.
Oh and a big  on cutting off the upper belt guard bracket.
This was time consuming part. The chain was actually hitting that part because everything sits so far out now.

THanks again guys! Im in love with it. So weird having the exhaust shoot out the front. Hard to compare the sound to any other exhaust i have heard.
Still deciding if i want to put the chin fairing back on.

Good call, gor in a hurry writing that up. RRC cover it is! Im surprised you noticed it since i shaved off the bottom half for the chain guard. (it was scary shaving such an expensive pulley cover! :/

Ill be doing more to the bike this week. Pics to follow.
