Thanks again!! The yellow was placed on there just to get some last minute pictures before I sell the plastics. Il be sticking with the black plastics & carbon fiber on the last page.... (until I get everything painted).
kuntreeboy, quick question, did you figure out how to get the key lock to go into the locking hole pictured above? ^^^ Mine sits high, did you just add spacers to make the steering lock work?

I will look at mine, it came on my bike from the previous owner, I will try and take some pics up close of it and load it when I get home tonight or PM me your number and I can text you some/

One, I find myself back at yor build thread often! Just a cool effing bike man. Couple questions, as you and I have talked about the chain conversion several times, but I'm going to put a 190 on my bike but with the chain it almost looks like it won't fit. Like it might rub. Did you widen your swing arm?

Also, how long is your chain with the ss swing arm. I'd love to extend mine out from an s.

Nice chicken strip. I guess I like the corners to much to ever go bigger than a 190. IMO when you go bigger than a 190 you "roll" the tire over to much on the edge so you get a section of tire that is unusable. My fathers X1 had this issue when he got it, it had a 190 and you couldn't use the outer 1.5" of thread. You would get to that portion of the tire and you would feel it starting to slip out.

The big 240 tire looks good on these bikes but a 180 or 190 looks more at home on it.

netty242 thanks for the attention ;) I still go out to the garage just to stair at my bike. haha Yes the 190 tire will fit on the stock rim and the chain sprocket will clear the tire, if not you can use a spacer like my has.

NookieMonster I'm not going to defend myself but my like expose your lack of knowledge. My tire is not rolled one bit. The rear wheel was sent to a place that widened it for the 240 tire. (The 180 will no longer fit) Therefore it will roll to the corner of the tire with no problem.
If there are chicken strips for give me!!! I have thousands of dollars into this bike so I dont want to just start pushing it to its limits just yet. OH YEAH I was in an accident recently so my riding confidence is low. [mad] Go make your narrow minded assumptions somewhere else!

Here's the custom spacer the pushes the chain out past the new wide tire:

OH YEAH I was in an accident recently so my riding confidence is low.

I feel ya on this one. After my crash two years ago I know I still lack the confidence to go as hard as I use too, another huge factor is the time and money into the bikes as well. Still have fun but just a bit more conscious about my riding, would suck to destroy a work of art.

Couldnt copy the text above to quote for some reason. So that spacer extends the rear sprocket out, somehow does it line up with your front sprocket! If you get a chance, can you shoot me a pic down the line of the chain? It like to see the line it takes into the front.

Thanks for the spacer pic! [up]

Yeah people don't realize how attached to these bikes we become after all the work we Put into them.
So that spacer extends the rear sprocket out, so how does the front sprocket line up?
Great question! The front sprocket and right rear set all have spacers as well. The rearset spacers are small but my pictures will explain everything...
I'll take more pictures and eventually a full video of everything done to the bike.

Now that you've put in all the work, you won't have anything left to do! And that my friend is going to drive you crazy. Soooooooo.........you should trade me straight up and do it all over again!

C'mon! Who's with me! :D

Looks sick Onelogue! Effing sick!

RJ,

Glad to see that you lengthened the rear shock to fit the longer swingarm. Who makes that spacer and is it "custom":)?

With the chain spacing, how close does it come to the inside of the swingarm? I am looking at making a cush drive setup for my sprocket and may have to push the chain line outwards like yours.

Have you seen the chain guard available from EBR? It may save your swingarm from some scrapes.

Awesome job!!

The spacers for the shock are custom, multiple ways to do it. if you plan to recoat it you can even cut the mount off the swing arm and re-weld it 2" forward.

Mine is a bit different.
