The bike isn't done but I promised pictures so here it is as of today. More mods this week to follow.....
damn son, you've been busy [up]
lol

looking great with tons of awesome extra bits and pieces!
continued success with your dream buell [up]

Are you planning on swapping the front forks to even out the drop with the swing arm swap?
Nope, the custom shock extension was built perfectly to retain the stock R height. Ill post a side view shot to prove it.

Not exactly... I had the parts and I was going to do this at one point. The accident did push me to do it earlier than later but no Im a little paranoid to ride.....

Not drawbacks. Just curious what it was about the big rear tire. I think I looks awesome! Just curious where the motivation came from? Aesthetics, how it rides, etc?

Definitely the best looking firebolt I've seen in a while! [up]

Great job man.
Thank you so much! Another reason I love this forum is because you guys can actually appreciate all the hard work that goes into these bikes. Other people just see my bike and think "hey a Buell.... cool"

netty2424 Honestly I have only put 20 miles on the new tire but so I cant make a review yet. But I will say that I got the 240 for looks. I think of Buells as "american muscle" so I wanted that iconic big tire look. All around everyone that has seen it in person likes it. Totally fits the bike in my opinion. Now the rear fairing isn't wider that the tire which looked funny to me before.

Took some last photos of the Buell in yellow before the plastics go up on ebay. These pictures make me want some color on my bike. Black on black is just plain boring to look at.

RJ,RJ,RJ,RJ, how did I miss this? your bike is stunning! I mean wow, nice work brah! (I haven't checked the postings much lately as I've been down in Nevada & Cali riding my "new to me" Ulysses)why are you changing the yellow? what colors next? Damn thats nice, can't wait to get to get in to P-town to see & hear it!

Tad! I was curious to where you have been. Sound alike you are staying busy. When the heck did you get a Ulysses?! Now you have 3 XB's you lucky bastard :)
The bike was originally an 07 Black and yellow Firebolt that sadly was taken apart the first night to be modified. The yellow plastics will go to someone more appreciative while I'm sticking with the carbon fiber and black plastics on the previous page.
The bike is amazing! I've put a lot of work into it so you have to come take it for a spin.
You will love the way it sounds. OH YEAH, and it's been tuned to this exhaust so it pulls with no flat spots.
Text me a picture of your Uly.
Take care buddy! I look forward to our next ride.

Where did you find the triple tree? Heli doesn't seem to list them online anymore....
Heli stopped making them years ago. Sad because they look great and are really comfortable compared to stock. (Bars sit higher). If you ever see one pop up for sale BUY IT!!!! They are rare!

For sure the billet triple trees look awesome; however Im having trouble with the steering lock aligning with the frame hole. Between the heli bars and the steering dampener its being stubborn.
Might have to add spacers to the key switch to drop it down.
