i'm pretty sure if i wore jeans when its 105 id be soaked by the time i got to school/work

I live in the middle of CA and wear jeans EVERY TIME I ride.. You dont get soaked. I go to school, to work, and back and it's all good. It is VERY toasty.. but meh the latter is all bad.

This is what people see when you don't wear gear.

I am new to riding but at a minimum even just going down the street to test a repair I wear my jacket, jeans, gloves, helmet, and over the ankle boots. I wear this to school everyday even if its 110 which I have rode to school in. I'd rather be sitting at school sweaty then not be able to sweat cause I have no skin. Not only that I dont want to have to miss tons of classes and possibly risk a semester because I'm in the hospital getting skin graffs because it was to hot to wear gear. In my eyes its never to hot for gear. Then again I was in the Marine Corps sitting in Afghanistan with 45lbs of gear on in 140 degree heat so 110 is nothing with a breathable jacket on.

where did u get those riding flip-flops?? are they Kevlar?
