Watching this video helped me out quite a bit...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_puxAQm1aCk

but i think what you are trying to do is save the .bin file and then burn it later correct? after you make any changes go to file, save bin as, then rename it to something unique... never write over the original.

Clear as grey water?

alright I'll watch the video thanks for the link hopefully it helps i'll be lookin at hookin up my bike this weekend if possible. I just want to datalog it to see where I'm sittin at for my afv. I have a hawk pipe, K&N filter on a 09xb12r.

nice! i think we have almost the same setup... i have hawk's "quiet" pipe, K&N filter on a 2010 xb12r. Yeah i'm trying to find time to actually mess with tunerpro attached to the bike as well. I am trying to rig up a backpack to hold my laptop while i go for a quick ride sometime soon! I'd be curious to hear what you find out on your bike!

yeh cuz he told me that the ecm should relearn itself but when I talked to buell they say to a point it will. so I want to see what point it went to. I got the loudest pipe he makes.

I'd have to assume that i only added a K&N and did not open the airbox and got randy's pipe with still some more muffling which adds a little more back pressure than his loud pipe would be fine enough... I noticed it is a little faster on the get go from stock but no too much. I'm not looking to get any more power just wanted to get a more throaty sound and not damage the bike in any way. I got the sound now i just want to see for myself on the other aspect!

With this data logging feature i am interested in seeings trends over time to temp changes, pre and post mods, and riding styles... It is rather interesting from what i've seen so far!

dont miss the new release...

rt v5 version #7

it will read and write to the ecm with a buell plugin from tunerpro

see the beta page for the info...

I dont come here much but i do stop in to update people.

all you will need is tunerpro and the xdf file for the ecm in your bike.

from there you have a all in one read/write and tuning tool...

if you need a cable i have three styles. I also sell bulk 10 for 250.00 plus shipping ready made with buell plug installed.

Good deal mike! I just downloaded the new version and i will try it out when i get some time! Thank you for the hard work!

I still can't figure out how to get tunerpro hooked up to the bike even watched the video I can't find the thread that tells ya how or what other files I may need anone point me in the diretcion damn I feel like a noob

To connect to the bike with the new version of tunerpro rt 5.00.7004.00 you will need the plugin for buell, http://www.tunerpro.net/plugins.html.

To install these plug-ins, download them and unzip them to your <documents>\tunerpro files\plugins\ directory, then restart TunerPro. Do not place them in the TunerPro program files directory.

To verify that they've been properly installed, go to help->plug-ins for a list of active plug-ins. Once installed, you may enable and configure (if applicable) the plug-in via preferences.

I had to have the bike ready for connection before I started the program, then it connected at once!

got it connected and can record now just figure out wtf I'm doing to tune it and adjust the maps lol

I'm not really sure either, but go along and take a ride to record all the data, then you are on the way. I have a friend who will help me to understand, "Mr. Andersson turbo system" yes he has built an 1000hp Hayabusa engine ... very competent guy. so I will be back to report.

Does anybody know of any other plugin for the ecspy cable on an 09 xb12r. Got my cable yesterday and the plug on the bike is a 2 prong plug!

Its the only gray plug that has nothing connected to it. I'm gona pull the front fairing off and see if there is another one but I'm pretty sure its different I will post a pic of it up here so you can see it. Its on the left side of the bike just under the bracket for the front fairing and instrument cluster. It also has the male portion of the connector on it but it only has rubber plugs where the sockets or prongs would go. Somebody please help me out I'm lost.

ok got the right plug now and have the bike hooked up to laptop. I have the plug-in, ddfi 3 adx file, and have the payload and body size set to 135. still wont connect to bike. does it work real slow? Its been sittin here connecting for 10 minutes now and nothing just a pink box saying connecting.

Adjust the payload and body size up single units at a time until you get connection. If by 145 you don't have a connection, start at 135 and work your way down one unit at a time. Eventually you'll hit the right value.

ok so went all the way up to 145 and down to 125 and still would not connect. Any other things I can try or mess with?
