I'm in Nigeria, yes postal service sucks and first class air packages gets lost.

John can I also test the stator to be sure it's in good state..

I thank you.

I was able to take a reading of the stator and it shows 65v-120v when i rev and 35v when idle, is this normal? SHould i change stator also. i don't want to buy another VR and it goes bad again.

just wanted to share that my 2009 xb12r voltage reg went on me. was having battery drain while riding. also random stopping at lights. also check engine light reading with buelltooth said low voltage. voltage would be intermittent.when starting voltage would start at 12.5 and slowly climb to 14.1 which seemed normal at first but i was getting different reading all over the place .

after checking ac voltage from the stator i was seeing 90v ac while revving up to 4k. that seemed solid as its about 22v per 1k rpm.

anyway changed voltage reg with a 80$ one off amazon. started it up and at idle now my voltage instantly goes to 14.4v . running much more smooth too.

hopefully this helps people.
