29, just bought an '03 XB9R
been riding 6 years and also own a '00 V-star 650

i bought the buell cause:
1. i've always loved the look
2. patriotism
3. its not like every other bike out there
4. it was a deal i couldn't pass up
5. its fuel injected

i love it more than i thought i would....and more and more everyday

I am 40 and started riding in 2005 when I bougt a yamaha zuma 49cc to drive 8 miles to work. Made me want a real bike so in 06 I bought a XB12Ss , traded that in on a 07 BMW K1200R then came back to Buell in 08 with an 09 XB12Ss then added an 08 STT 2 days after the closure announcement.

Wall,
How did did you like the K1200R?

My buddy just got one because he liked the idea after I got my Buell. Tried to talk hiim into a Buell but he wanted something different than mine. It is kinda cool to still be the one and only most places I go. I'm gonna get to ride it this weekend, kinda interested to fell how that unique front suspension is.

39, bought my black 09 XB12Ss in April. To date I've owned 6 bikes, this one is without a doubt the most fun!

Treyflee, I bought my K1200r because my wife kept wanting to go riding with me and I needed something bigger than my XB12Ss. It was a good , fun , really fast bike that was fun in a straight line. After I bought it I realized the Buells were better handling , balanced, and a blast in the twisties. So I traded it in for another buell. That BMW front suspension took some getting used to ,but I don't miss it one bit.

Been riding for almost 30 yrs, but it's always been on a Harley or some kind of Dirt Bike. Always liked the looks of the sportbikes, but kept telling myself if I had one I'd be the guy doing something stupid and hurt myself.
Picked up my XB12R in October and now I wonder why I waited so long.. My wife wants to think it was a mid-life crisis, but I know I just wanted to try something new.. And, I'm now 40, and I still have the the moto and trail bike as well..

43 in Feb, first bike was when I was 8, my '08 XT12 was my first bike as an adult, never wanted any other bike since I seen a guy on an old tuber with all the "rising sun" flag stickers Xed out on his helmet, come to find out he was a big wheel in one of the local 1% clubs down here. Haven't looked back since. Bought mine from Pensacola HD in Florida still in the crate, called them up and asked" do you have a Buell XB12XT?" salesman says" yeh, just got one in"
I said" No you don't"
he said" Yeh, we do, it is still in the crate"
me" no, it is sold"
he " no it isn't"
me "You don't understand, IT IS SOLD"
he " OOOHHH, I see, you want it"
I didn't even know what color it was, didn't care either

You're all a bunch of whipper snappers
At 60 there ain't no such thing as a crisis
05 firebolt

I averaged every ones ages and the total is 34yrs old. OK so maybe I guesstimated it but it is pretty close. Buells bring in a large group of great Riders. Still love the look on peoples face as they stare and wonder[cool]
