To reply to the comment about cops...I did a wheelie off the line once and rode it pretty well. As I was approaching the speed limit i looked over at the car that was flooring it to keep up and it was a cop! haha. I put the front down and was just like ok, lets do this...i deserve the ticket. But he just punched it and took the first turn he could. I think he just reallt didn't want to pull me over. I got lucky. i did just get another speeding ticket tho...1.5 days after getting out of court for my last one. 90 in a 65 :(

Man, You're REALLY lucky.

I don't ride that aggressively in the city, we're too saturated with the Po-Po around here.

I keep the fun stuff to the country roads.

One time my friends and I were Buellin around town... well 2 of us were Buellin, one was ricing. Some sheriff came out of no where and got behind us and said over the PA "If you guys are going to act like idiots, take it outside in the county" I gave him the fonz thumbs up and buelled away. :D

The Fonz, thats great. I clutch it up in 1st and 2nd often enough but thats about the extent. im a pretty big guy at 6ft. 235lbs. Stoppies are easier but i really need a stabilizer and a brake upgrade for i try actin' like Jason Britton out there. Any of you guys able to pull a clutch-up in higher gears?

Practice in first and when you're ready for second hang on tight...

Yeah I just like taking off hard in first in a wheelie then drop it shift into second then hit it again and ride the power to the rev limiter :p[cool]

With a K&N, exhaust, tuning, and XB9 gears I could power wheelie the first 3 gears. Fun as hell! Practice, practice, practice. I aimed for my front tire to skim about 3-6 inches of the pavement. Come back down, shift in second, roll back on throttle, tire back up. Smooth is key. Don't slam the throttle open or close. Always cover that back brake and be ready to apply some if it starts getting too high. Don't slam the throttle off either. Just roll off a little and let the bike settle back down.

I could power wheelie the first 3 gears.
No you cant. These bikes even when standing on the rear pegs and pumping the front end wont bring it up in 3rd, with some clutch work yes. 2nd is tough enough to power wheelie with no clutch. This has been discussed in more recent threads, firebolt isnt as easy as a lightning, but neither do it in 3rd also your throttle control and brake tips sound a little "saw a youtube video about it"

Sure you can! It is very easy to power it up in 2nd. 3rd is not hard either. I can't in forth. The key is XB9 gears and a good wideband tune with the usual bolt on mods. When I was stock there was no way I could in 2nd. It was first only and even then it was more clutch work. Its all about the gearing and having enough hp. Tuning is so vital on these bikes! It really makes that much difference! Of course having the low XB9 gears is essential too. But without a good wideband tune you are leaving a few HP on the table. Our bikes run wayyyy tooo lean from the factory.

^^^ I think you thought he said he had an xb9 he doesn't he must have a 12 and he put the 9 gearing in it and I test rode an xb12ss and I could pull the front wheel up in the first 3 gears 3rd didn't last long though but on my CR which is all done up. I dont know if it even has a gear that will keep the front wheel on the ground
