All you gm n dodge fan have already forgoten the bail out bull **** fords the only domestic company not reachin with there hand out like a crack whore. And as far as ? Fords motor i know a lot of gm guys who have to put new motors in there trucks cause theve cooked there mighty gm motors but cant say ive heard of a ford motor swap not nearly as common anyway fords acilies heal has and is there electronics. the ford engines have lots of upper engine problems not to mention stripped and broken plugs in the heads,weak auto trans,tons of problems with their diesels,the suvs burning houses down and the sedans bursting into flames.as far as bail out money goes any company that participated in the cash for clunker program took bailout/stimulus money.i love my bronco though eating sheep and shitten chevys

^^ i have seen way more ford and dodge engine swaps in there trucks then anything. and im talking 100% stock... not redneck engineering bs where the trucks last a whole 3 days on the drag strip, but hey i like all makes and models every company has its ups and downs just like out buells with HD.... but for the op id go suby just for the fact of snow, ever driven a 350+ hp rwd hotrod in snow? youll be replacing your rims tires and axle all the time
chevy, I dont want to buy a car from a company that can't balence its checkbook and expect reliablity or factory support. The camaro is cool but it is built for looks not function. Ford has been building motors longer than anyone, some better than others but this one is a real gem. If you dont believe it drive one.
Back to the wrx, it's a cool car and does own its class. It is just not in the same class as the mustang. You just have to decide what you want. Those who trash either car have no REAL experiance to compare. If you had real experiance you would know they are both excelent but different cars,I have driven both.

A few years ago I was at a car and bike meet out near bayfront in erie. There was prostreet malibu there that had a sticker on the back..

This whole comparo is apples to oranges. The scooby is a nice car but they are becoming like civics. There are plenty in all the highschool parking lots. Sort of like the mustang in the 90s.
Now this comparing the SS to the new 5.0 stang. That fat ass Chevy is nothing. the SS has 426 hp in a 6.2l boat anchor,where the new 5.0 has 412hp. Unlike what was said many times before, both have a available 6speed.
then the fat SS has almost 4000lbs, and the stang is at
3600lbs. So looking at the specs the stang is a way better car, and not owned by the Government or the Unions. Many of the info people have been posting about the mustang is from the older pre-2012 stang, which is an ALL new car.
Just my 2 cents, and to be fair I am a Stang guy, and have a 550hp supercharged 96 Cobra.

Okay so it comes down to this. Can you drive in snow? Have you ever drove a rwd car in the snow? Have you ever had an accident because of snow? If you answer no to the first two and yes to the last.....buy the wrx. If you answered the other way around buy the ford.
At this point it's not about which is better or worse it's about what more practical. Both are good cars. IMO I'd buy the ford. But that's because I can drive in the snow with a rwd vehicle. Lots of fun just hit the gas and watch the back end slide out and drift sideways going down the road at 45mph. Good times.
It's your choice to make buy the one that's best for you.

yea but the stangs are like the chrysler mini van of the muscle car world no matter what direction you look there is a mustang.the drivers seem to be 16-mid 20s and late 40s to 60s and women of all ages.maybe its just the places iv lived but i see 1-2 subbys to 20-30 stangs.kind of like the i4s they are every where.as far as stock all around performance,build quality and interior the subby is way above.for a daily driver the stang is more fun though and sounds better.for those that have never driven the wrx test drive one and your views will change.
I agree with others I see way more mustangs vs wrx's/sti's sure maybe not 5.0's or anything but none the less still a mustang. Everyone is right I have friends my age with newer mustangs ( 20years old) and I see other ppl of all ages driving them everywhere to. While wrx's are more popular than they have been in the past i don't see a nice one every time I'm driving around town.
So I vote wrx also! (that is the car I wanted, but it was out of my price range, so I'm stuck with my 99 civic SI.... It's alright it revs up to the clouds, but it's still just a civic in my eyes...

If I was going to Spend $110+k on a car their is no way in hell it would be a Chevy.

Mustang: America, **** yeah!
I have nothing against mustangs and think some are just the epitome of bad ass american muscle... But... The ones that could blow my doors off in a straight line could never compete in the twisties.
