Others have basically said watch out for the cagers but my experience is make eye contact with them!
Even wearing a full face helmet, pointing your head in their direction makes them acknowledge your presence on the road. This also gives you a lot of info about how aware they are of the surroundings. If you don't see that look of recognition in the cager's beady little eyes assume he's about to pull out in front of you.
Also I always give it some gas when passing a car. I've had many cars try to make a lane change on top of me. Clear them as quick as you can.
