No that was a while back, but it turned out to be a problem with the throttle body. I can't remember exactly what but it wasn't to hard to fix. I should have posted a follow up at the time. Sorry I can't be more helpful

You said they left a footprint where they kicked it,can you tell what kind of sneaker/boot?It's a longshot but it might give you a clue if it's some little punk that hangs out in your neighborhood.

If the octane only causes the fuel to burn more slowly,does that mean that there is no power to be gained by running a higher octane than your engine is tuned for? And could power be improved by running the lowest octane that the engine would tolerate? Faster burn=more power but higher heat...

I got a Knox sixpack backpack for christmass,won't get to try it out till spring though.I was just wondering if anybody else had one and how well it held up?I've been using a 19 dollar special from Wall-Mart the last couple of years so this is kinda a step up.

Maybe the rivets you used to reattach the front piece are not large enough for the holes?

Teflon tape from a plumbing supply store or maybe some gasket sealer on the threads?

My plug wires were also worn through,no problems though I noticed doing general upkeep and replaced.What caused it and how do I stop it?

Try zippers performance,they have a big bore kit as well as heads and exaust kits. No throttle bodies or ecm's though.

If the factory race muffler is only marginaly better than an aftermarket part at best why the high demand?

How about lock de-icer or lubricant,it will melt the ice and displace the moisture?
