Will a 2008 stock seat fit 2007 and earlier?

I just found the answer I was looking for so I thought I would post some pics in case someone searches for this in the future. Yes the seat works for 2003 - 2010. The rounded shape didn't change in the later years. The pics show the new 2010 seat on a 2003 XB9. You can see the 2003 seat on the...

Will a 2008 stock seat fit 2007 and earlier?

Didn't Buell change the shape of how round it was in the back of the seat? I understood that was the difference for the XB9SX seats in 2008+. It was either more pointy in back or more rounded.

Will a 2008 stock seat fit 2007 and earlier?

I'm selling a stock seat for a 2010 XB9SX CityX. Apparently it only fits 2008, 2009, and 2010 XB9SX. I heard it won't fit 2007 and earlier but I want to confirm. I've got some people asking me this question on eBay. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

    Motorcycle shipping cheap?

I've got a friend who owns MoverQuest Moving & Shipping. They do a lot of motorcycle shipping. Sometimes they have trucks in the area that can pick up a bike fast for a great price.

Sounds like the man (ERIK) will be back in bussines

This evening I went to the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach CA. EBR had a small booth. I spoke with someone about their plans for releasing the next models. He said the three new bikes will be (1) a street version of the 1190 RS, (2) a StreetFighter 1190, and (3) a Dual Sport. He...

Anyone selling used exhaust in SoCal?

Yes I have one. Stock muffler for a 2006 XB12S. How about $80? I'm in Costa Mesa.

Best place in SoCal to get work done?

Cycle Doctor in Costa Mesa! A mechanic named Camm has a Buell and is their Buell guy. Great work. Good prices. They have been servicing my Buell XB9SX for 1.5 years.

i just got butt hurt ;)

I have a stock seat. It took around 2000 miles to break-in. Then it was comfortable enough to keep. I've heard bicycle shorts work good. I'll have to try it. I like Xtreme's seat the best! Do that if you can.

1000 miles in a day club

1000 miles in a day. Very nice. [up] Probably not too many people have done that on a Buell. I assume you have a Lightning? Longest I've gone is 550 miles. I'd like to do an Iron-Butt run someday just to say I did it.

Are you close to a decibel meter?- new law ruining fun in Calgary

I also agree with Lunatic, except I think the law is for loud cars, loud stereos, and also for Harley's with straight pipes that make LOTS of noise. Loud pipes saves lives, but extra loud pipes annoy the hell out of everyone and now gets tickets. I hope your Buell doesn't sound that loud.

i have a question about leaning when turning and keeping the bars straight

+1 check tire pressure. You can feel a difference of about 2 pounds of pressure. Also check the suspension and make sure it's set close to (or exactly to) the factory settings. I think I know what you are talking about (assuming there is nothing wrong with tire pressure or anything else)...

Did anybody else see XR1200 on Harley's Facebook? Looked Buelish.

xtreme is right, they make a good platform to build upon. In stock form they don't have great suspension. When you put Ohlins on it and add a good pipe, yea you end up spending too much but you get a very good unique bike (if you are into that sort of thing). The Harley dudes didn't like it...

    Bike is done! (For Now!)

Looks good. How does it run with everything you've done? Any stumbling issues or flat spots in the torque? Where are the rear blinkers and the license plate? The red bars and grips really look great with the red windscreen and tank.

    Some new stuff

That does look badass. [up] I think if you removed the Lightning logo it would look even better, like a helmet above the eyes and gas mask. The white wheel accents look great.

    Stabilizer/Damper Recommendations for an S?

Talking about steering dampers is like talking about oil and tires. Some people have their opinions that they "know" are right and everyone else is wrong no matter what! They want to yell it loud and proud. They must think that a steering damper is like training wheels for the bars, like it's...

    Reflective wheels decals

I like it! I want to know where to buy it too. I'd like to see a pic of the sideview showing the orange plastics and both wheels with no flash in the picture.

    header polished?

I believe the earlier models had a harder coating which made it better for polishing with ScothBrite and looking great. The later models (maybe 2008 and later?) had a thinner header coating which looked like crap when you tried to polish it because it was so thin that it started rusting real...

    Softer seat

The stock seat on my XB9SX was hard at first. It took around 2000 miles of riding before it finally loosened up and felt good. It's been comfortable ever since (almost 40K miles total so far). Try giving it some more time to break-in.

    My Scg (with pics)

Nice work. Those little LED blinkers front and rear look great. Much better looking on the bike than in a picture online.
