    Belt issue

    Personally I would think about changing the belt for a new one, especially if I didn't have spare, but wouldn't get all bent out of shape and in a hurry. I would keep the old one as a spare under the seat. Will be easy to change if your new belt breaks when your on a trip because its stretched...

    Welcome and congrats! I bet it cleans up easily and you get it running like a top in no time. Sometimes the ECM under the seat gets messed up if it hasn't been relocated (see other places in this forum which discuss the problem/solution). That can be a good thing if the previous owner...

    Getting anxious for the EBR AX to come out ...

    I am anxiously waiting for the EBR AX, I have decided to wait for that after seeing the new 1190RX (instead of purchasing a 2014 KTM 1190 Adventure). I don't mind waiting too much since I can still ride my '07 Uly (I also decided to keep it even when I get the new AX). :)

    Front muffler strap broke

    Just a tip: When I replaced my front strap I lost two more of them within about a month. I think it was because the lock-nut was vibrating loose, possibly due to the nylon getting hot and softening. When I installed my third front strap I jammed a second nut against the lock-nut ... haven't...

    Idle hangs at 1,700 rpm's

    I have that problem after TPS resets. After the last TPS reset I carried a screwdriver with a hex bit on it for a few days to adjust the idle and find the "sweet" spot.     I bought my uly because I got it used for a good price. It was the best value in a used adventure touring by far. For example, at the time I purchased an '07 Uly for the same price I would have gotten a '96 BMW GS1100.
