I was going to order an 07 air box from them but a new one from surdyke dot com was $30 cheaper.

well just ordered from surdyke.com. 40 bucks for both both inner and outer scoop for $40 plus 7 for shipping. Plan on getting the 3 screws (10-32X5/8, STAINLESS) at my local hardware shop.

I just finished fitting the factory scoop and used black screws so they don't stand out as much.

I'm not a huge fan of the look of the factory scoop but if it keeps the bike cooler I'll be happy.

I think I'm going for one of these so far it looks the most even to the left side design I've seen.

Recently installed my right side scoop. Easy to order and to install. Ordered from surdyke dot com. [m0851.7aa ($22.36 scoop) and m0852.7aa ($18.36 inner). How effective is the '10 small stock scoop that ships on the '10 R's and S's?

And is this the correct "kit" to order for the small scoop setup?

Inner scoop mount - m0852.7aa
Screws - an1005.3fss

the small scoop is one piece: M0854.7AA you can use your stock screws to mount the small scoop. all the other part #'s are for the larger uly scoop. hope this helps.

Thanks - big help. Did you have it on long enough to get an idea how well it works? I don't like the looks of the Uly "Spinnaker" but assuredly it is more effective. Is the small stock scoop "good enough"?

This is funny -

Not that long ago...some (including me!) were getting big time slammed for putting on and saying good things about the right side scoop.

They...were saying things like...
"if the Buell designers thought they were needed, they'da put them on".

Somewhere in some of my comments was a "you haven't a clue!".

And now look...everyone want's on the band wagon...!

I recently ordered the small profile scoop from ASB and Al confirmed that it fits with just the factory screws. It is backordered until this week so hopefully I'll find out if it is effective in a couple weeks. I'll post my thoughts once I get it on.

the smaller scoop works just fine, not as well as the larger one but way better than pre '10 stock right scoop. as far as looks i guess it's up to you. i like the look of both scoops & sometimes i change them out just for the hell of it. you can def. get better looking scoops for a price.
