Feedback needed for a potential 5-0dro XB Pulley Cover

Thanks guys!

I obviously have a thing with anything related to oranges! (see my Mustang, my GTI & my logo) :D That wasn't the intent I assure you. I was actually working off of the 6-spoke wheel design as a cue. This is why I want feedback though...What I see may come across differently to others. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to come up with a few more "cut out" designs to get more ideas flowing? I'll try to do that this weekend.

Thanks a bunch guys![up]

industrial / erecktor set

I think that's what I like about the cover design. I like the mechanical/utilitarian, "form follows function" look of the Buell. But what do I know, I'm a grumpy old man. Some 55 year old women look hot to me.

Here's a slight variation making it look less like an orange. Maybe it also makes it look a bit less "erector set-ish?" I'm thinking it could either show off a detailed pulley or one with a basic cover perhaps with my logo etched (tastefully) in it kinda like the Rizoma. Thoughts?

Damn now that looks really good!!

I'd be stoked to have that on my bike.

No more oranges!! (Thought of you on my ride with Nilla and another 1125 today, passed a road called Orange St.)

I like it a ton better than the original. I know it's a tiny tweek but it just feels right!

Thanks man! Funny how just a small change can make a huge difference!

Haha...Orange st...Check out the street sign I have in my music room (note the wall color too :D Yes, I have a problem! LOL)

I like this later version better, you could do it up Like a target :D

But I like how the center is more open for sure. What about no support section on the 12 and 6 o'clock location?

Have a look at these:

I've added some color and whipped up a pulley cover to go along with it. The idea would be for the pulley cover to have a "strobe effect" if you will when it spins by having alternating colors (probably facilitated by laser etching?) Too busy?

And this variation for you Xtreme! :)

I am not a big fan of the logos on it. People who care will know what it is without the logos and it will look cleaner

I like it[up] Sign me up for one once there are up and ready to go.

I would say if you are going to do a back plate, leave your logo off the main plate and put it on just the backing plate. It would clean the overall look up and add to the offset strobe effect to the back, probably cut cost for you too.

I agree to some extent. Some people will know but some won't. If that were entirely true Ford, Chevy, Buell etc wouldn't have any branding on their products. That being said, I do think 2 logos (of that size) may be too much and I'm glad you mentioned it. I put it on there twice in case I offer the 2 parts separately which I'm hoping I may not have to (price-wise). My goal is to have some branding on it without it being overbearing. I agree...Having both logos as I showed them probably doesn't meet that goal. Maybe it's just the size of them? I noticed both the Rizoma and Free Spirits pieces have their name on both parts but you have to look close (not overbearing.

Thanks guys! This is great feedback!![up]

Love 2nd design and the pulley cover! hurry up and make these so i can buy one for my beast! [up][up]

I like the way they look. And for your name I don't mind it so much, why don't you try to put it on the face of the inring top and bottom. Finished in a matt black so you still have your name on it and the cleaner look that every one wants. But I think it's killer man keep up the good work, let me know when you have them ready to sell I want one.[up]

Thanks all!! [up]

I like the design, but would def not buy it if it has the 50dro logo. Sorry.

That's cool man. I appreciate your honesty. That's what feedback is about! :D Just curious though...Is it my logo, the size and location of it in this application or are you just not a fan of logos on your aftermarket parts?

Something that I thought of this morning...If I make sure that the cosmetic pulley cover has a nice finish on both sides, you guys can choose to display my logo or flip it over and keep it plain or personalize it with a Mr. Yuck, Buell, Wal-mart or whatever design you like. ;) Win-win?

I do like that placement. Thanks for the chop. I can't legally use the EBR logo though :(

I think if you just narrow the setup to include both the main plate an inner plate as Rizoma does you can simplify the design like you want and in turn maintain a lower cost since you will be making one to one for each part instead of 20 covers and 12 inner plates with a miss match of logos to either one.

Here is a better shot of the Rizoma, only one name placement. But running close to $300 is over the steep end for most so you will have a killer product to compete when your set.
