Hello, George!
Thank you for your participation!
Could you give a link to the site Byull parts dealer in the U.S. or Canada.
The dealer sells new parts for Byull? Or just old ones on e-Bay?
I want to order parts, which are signs of wear. As well as a set of gaskets and piston rings.

Hello Roman!

You're welcome, sorry I couldn't be of more help on your tanny problem.

I shop around and find which of the companies listed below have the best price & delivery on the parts I need.  I have never had to look for transmission parts, so don't know if these folks can help or not, but would try them first.

Here are companies I have bought parts for my Buell from:

Canada:
Freedom Harley Davidson of Ottawa,
1963 Merivale Road, Ottawa‎ Ontario
Canada, [email protected], www.hdottawa.com

USA:
American Sport Bike, http://www.americansportbike.com
www.Buellparts.net
www.Buellsterparts.com
www.nrhsperformance.com/ (great for pistons, rings cylinders etc)

www.lakeshoreharley.com/ (never bought from them but hear they are good price & service)

Roman, you are doing some amazing things with your brother!

I am from Slovakia and bought some stuff in Europe from twinmotorcycles.nl They also have right side scoop but you might be able to fabricate one cheaper, you seem very good at craftsmanship.

Your interest in titanium reminds me of Akrapovič this Slovene guy is seriously good in working with titanium.

George, thank you!
This information is very important to me. I was looking for dealers who are online parts catalog. And nothing could be found. I learned to write them a letter with the part numbers. Dealer in Canada - a good option. I hope they have in stock parts. If not, will be ordered from America.

Atir, thanks for the link. I saw this site.
I myself will make a scoop. Has already begun. First, make a right, then left. Material - stainless steel AISI 430. This steel is well runs cold. Good weldability. Long retains luster after polishing due to the high content of chromium and low carbon content. Of this, I do have the air filter cover.
Soon the photos show the right scoop.

Hello Roman,

How's the rebuild going? I found this site while surfing around looking for XB tranny upgrades. They don't apparently have anything for 2004 & above Buells, but they have what looks like a really nice choice of upgraded trannies for Buells up to 2003, including a 6 speed.

You might not want to buy a whole tranny, but they probably would sell you parts, including upgraded shift forks and drum. The XB shift forks seem a weak point in these trannies and the drums can stand some improvement, if only a good polish.

Hope you get your bike back on the road soon. Ride safe.

Thank you, George! I appreciate your help.
Advanced drum for soft switching gears - it's interesting. However, this drum is not suitable for my engine. I have HB9R. This drum is for older models.
In Moscow there is a good specialist in Harley. I'll go to him for advice. Show details. Listen to the council. Then make a decision.
Ordered from a Canadian dealer piston rings, gaskets and cylinder heads, clutch bearing. Do not like it as an external enclosure clutch wobbles on the shaft. I decided to replace the bearing on the safe side.
Applied to the piston skirt Teflon coating. I want to use a carburetor cleaner to remove carbon from the piston. I'm afraid of the Teflon wiper suffer. Or am I worrying for nothing?

I used 44K in my engine, just added to fuel and ran it through. Thats another way to remove carbon buildup.

Hi Roman, I agree you might as well replace anything that looks weak now while you have the engine and tranny torn apart. The cost of the parts is less than the cost of the time to tear everything apart again.

Good idea to talkl with the Harley guy there, nice to have that expertise handy. I like your plan to coat the piston skirts with teflon, should help in a number of ways. I think brake cleaner ( heptane + xylene + 2-propanone + ethylbenzene + propane propellant) is OK for Teflon, carburetor cleaner (acetone + toluene + propane propellant) will damage the Teflon, Teflon is very resistant to many chemicals but strong solvents like toluene and acetone can affect it. I wouldn't scrub on it with a bras brush either while you're cleaning the carbon off, that would damage it.

Too bad the drum won't work in your engine either.

All the best

Hello Roman!

Great to see you've got your bike back together. I love the headers and especially the scoops you made. Beautiful work!

How's the bike running? Must be sweet with a re-built engine and tranny. Hope you have been getting lots of riding in and enjoying the summer.

I thought of you and your designs the other day when I was looking at www.isrbrakes.se/products/ns2

I've being done some mods on my bike as well, mostly cosmetic except for replacing the clutch cable with a hydraulic system, new turn signals, XB brakelight, GPR stabilizer, wrapped the headers (which need to be replaced soon), new shift & brake pedals, new bar end mirrors.

Going to go for a ride in a little while. Take it easy and keep the rubber side down :)

Hello, George!
I found the cause of the crunch in the gearbox. You were right, you simply fine-tune the clutch:)
Installed new piston rings and gaskets. Now I know my motor unit. Every detail considered and measured. I know that the motor is in good condition[up] One and a half months, I was very [mad], because he could not ride my bike.
The unit flies a small plane ... The motor hums like a big angry cat. I get great pleasure from communicating with the motorcycle and the movement with him.

I am also interested in this kit:

It is interesting to know how it works.
