@ Nut. I hear ya. My neighbor said he knows when I'm leaving in the morning and coming back at night.
The folks who live on a couple turns I add to my ride don't know me so I don't care. :D I just slam the throttle coming out of the turn and let her roar!!:D

I just got done installing a Hawk Performance muffler on my '06 XB9r. It has a very deep, strong, solid sound. :D I like it.

All the good things everyone is saying about Randy Hawkins and his product are true. A rare find in this modern world.

Thank you, Mr. Hawkins! [up]

After much reading and research, I sent my stock muffler off to Randy today. Talked to him yesterday and he is the real deal. We need more of those like him in this world!

Awesome news. Don't think I need it yet though. My stock ECM adjusted just fine.
After I lose 120 pounds, maybe I'll spend more on performance mods. But for now I have to focus on improving my power to weight ratio by 17-20%:D

Does anyone have a picture of the cheesegrater chop that Randy has also done for some people?

Got my Hawk muffler last week, Randy Hawkins is the man!:):)[up][up]To say I am pleased with the results is an understatement. He's the real deal and a pleasure to work with. He spent time with me on the phone, was patient and answered all of my questions, even though he's probably heard each of them a thousand times.

Just took my bike for a ride with the new exhaust, and computer program from Randy. The exhaust tone is very deep, and the exhaust is pretty loud. I may talk to him about options on making it quieter. I've seen the discs you can weld in, but I want to make sure I dont loose performance. I also modded the airbox, put a K&N in, put in some Iriddium plugs, and did the breather re-rout. The bike pulls so much harder. I was surprised by the power increase. I thought the bike was to slow when I bought it, but now its pretty damn fast. I just got it 2 weeks ago, and have had it tore apart in my garage. I put some new Dunlop Q2s on there, so I didnt get to ride to hard.

Longest week and a half ever waiting for it, but I have to say this thing is a rip snorting beast. Just ask Randy for the washers just in case you're an old fart and decide you dont want people around you soiling themselves yelling what the eff was that!!! when you're nearby. lol Seriously though, it's pretty loud!

I came up beside a colleague in his jeep with the doors off. I pulled up beside him doing about 60 then just cranked the throttle. in seconds i was doing 90 and he was way behind. I emailed him after I got to work.
I am on the cusp of 50 but my wrist can act like a teenager sometimes.:D:D:D

went for a top speed run last night, got a nice open straight and pinned it. Speedo just stayed at just under 120mph, it felt like the engine was misfiring while it just stayed at that the same speed the whole way. So disappointing until I realized i was in 4th gear redlining it the whole way. LOL!! :D

I am getting used to the sound. I really love it, but I still need to do the TPS reset. I have a check engine light on. Does anyone know if I will see a performance increase when I do the reset? I also have some popping when downshifting. Is this normal, or will the reset take care of this? Thanks!

did the check engine light only come on after putting on the muffler? Mine pops alot on decel but i think that's pretty normal. It used to do that with the stock muffler but it was barely audible before. I actually like the popping on decel, sounds like gunshots when im downshifting! lol
