yea i sent my pipe to him last week. hopefully will get it back tomorrow. He stayed on the phone with me for like an hour trying to help me find out what was wrong with my bike. great guy.
another raving customer! awesome turn around, really helpful, and did i mention this exhaust sounds amazing!! and just the right volume. as far as im concerned this is the ONLY pipe to get.
Sent my pipe to Randy 2 weeks ago today and it just got delivered back to me today. IMHO that's pretty good, from Texas to Georgia back to Texas in 2 weeks and comes back modified! Randy called me last week and said he'd finished the pipe and tail chop and was sending it back. CAN'Twait to put it on tommorrow !! THANKS RANDY [up]
Sent my exhaust and ecu out to randy 3 weeks ago. Fricken UPS sent it to a completely wrong state and address. Finally got it re routed and sent and cant wait to get it back![mad]
Ok a few questions:
I dont see how to order on the site, whats the deal?
It says 195.00 including shipping, is this return shipping or total shipping?
Has anyone figured out what to do with a 2008 ecu?(I also have K&N)
Do you do the cheese grater mods, if so do you do blinker mods and how much?
Thanks, if everything seems ok I am ready to go on this.
You can call him to talk to him about what you want which is ideal. Otherwise if you mail him a pipe with a description, name, and address he will get it and call you about order specifics.
The price includes return shipping you are responsible for getting the pipe to him. It is best to call him since it sounds like you hav a tail piece you want modded he charges an extra $5 for the additional shipping on that I believe. Also if you want something different done to the pipe he will do it and only charge what the extra parts cost.
I opted for a single 4" outlet, he just charged me the additional cost of the tip. Here it is same as previous page pic.
Not that he needs it based on the previous 28 pages of praise but I thought I would post my Hawk experience. Before I decided to go with the Hawk I gave Randy a call and we ended up talking all things Buell for an hour and would have been longer if I wasn't working. He gave me advice on everything from the muffler to how to make my own smoked blinkers. I bought a used stock muffler so as not to be without my baby for any amount of time and had it sent to him. Funny thing is the guy I bought it from sold it because he got a GB pipe but Randy called him to let him know he got the pipe and finished it. My seller emailed me to tell me that he talked to Randy for an hour and couldn't have been more impressed. I think the fact that he spent an hour talking to a guy who wasn't even a potential customer shows something about how much he loves what he does.
Well I got the pipe within just a few days of him receiving it. Took me and my buddy about an hour to install with the worst part being putting the chin fairing back on because I wanted to wait until it was entirely done before starting it up. The second it turned over I was absolutely blown away, it sounded just like my Dad's 55' Chevy Bel-Air. It is really loud with a great low bass sound. I often ride with a friend who has a cruiser and he said my Buell is what he wishes his bike sounded like.
As far as performance, I also put in a K&N air filter several weeks before but if I didn't know better I would have thought that someone switched my engine. It now flies through the first three gears and feels like a whole different machine. I can't possibly emphasize enough how happy I am with this muffler. I took a video of the stock exhaust before with the intention of posting a before and after comparison but the after is so loud that I'm having trouble getting a quality clip! Go Hawk or Go Home!
I sent mine off yesterday, had two conversations with Randy durning the day, and am impressed with his Buell knowledge, and willingness to help out with whatever he can. IT's nice to feel confident with someone doing work for you..

I would have talked to him more if I wasn't at work and had someone waiting for me. We didn't even talk about bikes too. If I didn't purchase the GB Exhaust, I would most likely bought a Hawk Exhaust.
Great customer support (even though I wasn't a customer directly).
Now Mike, where is that clip? I want to hear my old pipe
