I got it, ill let you know if i plan to sell or if i do the conversion as it is gonna cost $1,000+ for all new parts.

Ouch! I think all I need are light bracket and plastic. No rush... Maybe next owner will do it... Peek at my post and pass it on if you can! Thanks!

Yeah I have read about the stater issue and it's a risk I'm willing to take. My biggest concern is the wind. How bad does te wind push you around and affect you at highway speeds?

When we went to Florida we drove through a couple thunderstorms and the wind wasnt that bad with the rain, and even on windy days, im used to it i guess but if you get a big gust of wind you will definitely fell it push you around. The fairing of the firebolts is nice to be able to tuck behind but I dont mind the wind and if you get a CR with the clubman bars its a little better because you are down lower and naturally will be in a "half-tuck" but if you have the high bars you will feel that you will be holding yourself on at around 90+ MPH, but that goes the same with any naked bike.

The only time I really feel not having a fairing is over 90mph on the highway. Comming home from Laconia last year I was getting beat up on the thruway in NY State. I think the big trucks add to it I don't ride the superslab much only when it's a have to thing.

Took some pictures!

New helmet came in today I am pleased with it, only complaint is it whistles at speeds 50mph+ but I'll adjust it when I gat back home and should be fine.
And it matches Lizzy!

Canceled the order on the graffio indicators.
And said goodbye to my chicken strips, took forever to get rid of them from riding to Florida.

Front has about 4mm left on each side

But since I'm on the topic of tires I got this set of power pures put on Lizzy at 10,550 miles and I have now 16,360. So that means I have just about 6,000 miles on them and I can easily get another 2,000 out of them. My first set I got 7,500 out of and that was 90% back roads and 10% highway. This set it's about 60% back roads and 40% highway as well as a 3500 mile trip to Florida and I can barely tell. These tires are simply awesome!
Front has 3/32nds tread left
Rear has 3.5/32nds left

Just a little update, not really Buell related. I'm going to start saving the next couple months/year as I'm trying to purchase a new car (2012-2013 ford focus sel or st hatch) and I won't be doing much to Lizzy as far as mods. And for any of you car buyers, what's the best way to go about getting a car priced from $25-$29k obviously I can't pay up front and would be financing. As of now my plan is to do $5,000 down and trade in my explorer or sell it and whatever I get put towards the down payment so let's say $7,000 down total. Then I would pay the rest off over 5 years.

Seems easy enough. We traded our Trailblazer to Carmax and walked out with a 2009 x5. Put 3k down and they gave us 6k for the Trailblazer. We were in and out in 3 hours including test driving and walking the lot. Never needed to go back to them as the x5 had 5k miles so BMW takes care of it for us.

Not sure about the best way, but I have a 2012 Focus, and it is awesome on the gas, and ha lots of great features.

I would take the white, I just bought a Kia soul and it's pretty decent. But I like the focus way better, just out of price range.

Bit the bullet and bought the EBR race exhaust just now. I'm excited and I'm going to order the ECM next week.

Well I looked at Lizzy today to get an idea on how it attack the rear header bolts and noticed seeping oil down the back of the cylinder. I suspect the valve cover gasket.
Heres a couple iPhone pics of the seepage.

I am probably going to drop the motor and replace the gasket as well as put the exhaust on. Could be much worse and I'm glad I found it now before it got bad.
