I have the s-mx2 boots I love them and they don't look as ridiculous since their like regular boot size ad don't go up to the middle of my leg

But still if you walk through life playing it safe all the time how much fun is that

Seeing as you asked…

A lot more fun: land head first hard enough to break the helmet, then break my collarbone, then tear every muscle around the shoulder joint, smash both knees and my hand but I was wearing all my gear so after several months, I get to ride again.

Fun again, then I slide out at a 100 mph, break a rib, but I was wearing all my gear. No rash anywhere. I get to ride again.

So, I see it as keeping the fun quotient pretty high.

On the flip side, I don't see much fun in the above pictures. I don't see much fun in being spoon fed and twitching the rest of my life in an institution. I don't see much fun wearing a hockey helmet while being escorted around and wearing adult diapers.

You get your fun your way, I'll get mine my way. Just don't ask me to say your argument is anything but idiocy.

i crashed a while back, nothing but blue jeans and a t shirt. i was going 60mph, and walked away with a scratch. i rode again after that without gear.

that being said, the prevelent attitude here about wearing gear, has helped me to see the error of my ways. i ride with as much gear as i can stand. at the very least, that is a full face helmet, heavy duty riding gloves, riding boots, and a heavy duty riding jacket. the weak spot in my gear is my legs, i need to improve the protection there. i also plan on getting an armored vest, and better boots for next year.
a big thanks and thumbs up to you guys here for promoting wearing gear....i hope none of us ever need it.

I wear Buell Adventure pants. Made by Joe Rocket and very similar to their alter ego pants.

Emerg and physio said my knees were the most damaged they had seen without being broken.

Survived impact and slide, nicely vented for heat, I'm convinced.

i just remembered an incident in March this year. it was already dusk and this dude on a big 1000cc bike weaved between the cars at thigh speed - wearing a leather jacket, but with shorts and sneakers.

popped a wheelie at 4-way stop and a minute later we passed him lying on the side of the road, right knee busted open, right foot tore off..a young life wasted...forever! :(

Kid1620.... all that I ask is that you learn this...

your is NOT you're

Learn the difference between the two.

Obviously you do not want to wear gear. But please please please... learn the difference between the two "yours"

Again incase you forgot..

Your does NOT = you're
you're = you are and your = your, as in possessive.

So how was I supposed to see you're point from

"think about that for a minute."

Your so clever.........

Why is it all the guys who are like 21 or 22 have to retort to every comment directed towards them? Just like when "rr" got called out it went on for over a month of back and forth, little digs and retorts, like 10 year olds in a sand box.

Ha ha.. No problem, it's sometimes hard to tell if someone is really taking offense or just having fun. And yes, sand boxes were the bomb!
