Uly LED tail light, integrated or just brighter???

No kit necessary, just $10 for 2 SMD5050 strips on ebay! My next comments come from a current XBLights/com owner, and I think it is hands down the best mod on my Lightning! As far as the tail light goes...I have to admit that the Uly light is pretty good as is. In conjunction with the 2010...

My brother's girlfriend has them on her Bolt. I think the position is awkward, but they look good I guess.

    Electronic Valeve Emulator

The servo is not needed at all for the bike to run properly. If the ECM expects to see the servo, and it is not there or not plugged in it will simple throw a check engine light, but the bike will run just fine. The servo IS NOT your problem. Take the bike back to the dealer and make them fix it...

tail lift - what does it do/why?

I lol'd a bit. I'd say it more like this: Looks ridiculous. As far as what it does, it broadcasts to the world that you "mod" your bike exclusively for the sake of cosmetics. It ruins a perfectly awesome bike.

Not as bad, but they do vibrate. They are MUCH more useable than my stockers, but not perfect.

Straw- They are indeed factory 1125CR mirrors. They take just a bit to make them fit- remove the bases and swap them left to right, space them up with 3 washers (the washers will be hidden by the bases) and wire em up. I struggle with mods on the Uly. I have always ridden sport bikes, and the...

    Quick HID question.

HIDs draw far less current than halogens. In theory you do not need to run a relay. DDmTuning's kits are capped at 6A draw, even at startup- a 55w halogen bulb will draw 3.9A @ 14.4V, 4.6A @ 12V. So startup current is, in theory, not that much more than running current on the halogen bulbs...

    Blacked out forks?

The bike in my pic above, I completely rebuilt the forks (new seals, bearings, oil, etc) and had the uppers anodized for about $100 total. Powdercoating would cost about the same....either way you just need to find a good shop that is set up for (and willing to do) small batches. I sent the...

    Blacked out forks?

I highly recommned against powdercoating them- get them anodized instead (see the above pic of my wife's XB9...the blue is anodized.). Anodizing is not a coating on the surface that scratches off, which does 2 things for you in this case: 1) makes install easier, and 2) well, it doesn't scratch!

    Cooling fan predicament

the Uly is sort of known for it's poor grounds. If you have a bad ground now, installing a new fan is unlikely to help you. Do yourself a favor and address the grounds either way, and avoid future issues. What you need to do is locate the ground points, remove the wires, clean the surface...

    Bike was kicked over.

It's just taking a nap....it is night time in the pic afterall. Are you sure it was kicked over, and not blown over? I'm sorry to hear that some of you put a possession such as a motorcycle over a relationship- especially your wives.
